While getting into their car, she shook her head violently.

Her mom noticed her.

“What?!” her mom irritated said.

“Nothing Mom, my headaches”

“Grab a med”

“Later mom. I still have to eat”

Her mom fixed their seatbelt and drive. Mayvonne opened the car stereo. The radio was played Thinking of You by Katy Perry.

“Tumatama ang song sa akin ngayon huh” she said to herself. She joined the radio; and feel  every lyrics of the song.

Nasisira ang song pag kinakanta mo. shh! Tama na her mom said jokingly, and chuckled.

“Mom! Don’t say that”

“Hmmm.. in love ka lang eh.”

“Mom.. para kumakanta lang, in love na agad. Agad agad?” Mayvonne told her mom in whining voice.

“Okay okay.. Enough. Sinabi mo eh.. ha ha ha” her mom laughing hard as teased for her, she continued, “If I were know, type mo lang yung sacristan.” Her mom laugh “dalaga na ang baby ko”

Shux, ano ba to” she said to her mind.

“ha ha ha! Di ko yun type mom”

Hindi naman ako tumitingin sa kanya eh at di sya ang tinitingnan ko, it just happen that guy was on my peripheral vision. In the altar.” She said sounds screeching to her mom.

“Okay. Fine, Sinabi mo yan. “her mom said.

On the front mirror she saw her mom smiling while nodding. She just smiles on the thoughts.

“Manzano.. Melendrez, Mayvonne. Yes! I’m on section A!” Mayvonne exclaimed.

She copied her classroom number and checked on the map of the school to locate her classroom assignment. While copying, she looked at his side and to her surprised; the altar guy she exchanges glances with. The guy looked at her too and smiled.

“Hi.” The guy approached her.

“H-Hi” she said shyly.

“You’re section A, right?”

“H-How did you know?”

“Because we were classmates” trying to lighten the mood. He was all nervous.

“Really!? How did you know?”  in her  disbelief voice

“You happened to skip on my name in the list the time you’re looking at yours.” Sounding charming.

“Yeah! So..” she went back to the board and point on the name before her name “You’re Man-zano, Lawrence?”  She said excitedly.

“Yes, and you’re Mayvonne” he smiled at her.

“Yes. And I think, there is no need for us to re-introduce” She said teasingly. Now she smiled widely.

“And you’re smiling now, I thought you were all along,, SERIOUS.”

She punched him on his arms to which to his surprise, he exclaimed

“Ouch!”

“I’m sorry. Does it painful? Napalakas ko yata.”  She said worriedly.

“My pleasure.” He smiled at her. “You’ll treat me naman later” was swaying away the serious wind.

She laughed and said. “Yes yes, I remember that”

They went inside the classroom. She sat on the middle and Lawrence sat beside him.
