Hyungwon came only a moment later and took Gingerboy's place in front of Hoseok, not-so-subtly pushing the younger away. Ginger had to take a few steps back until he was standing next to Hyunwoo. They both watched as Hyungwon walked out with Hoseok.
Hyunwoo noticed Gingerboy's jealousy and it hurt him a little. He was well aware of the feelings Ginger had for Hoseok but being reminded of him always made him feel bad.
The redhead sat on the ground again, hanging his head low so he could place the ice pack behind his neck and let it stay there. He collected the bloody and crumbled tissues in front of him. Hyunwoo sat down next to him with a sigh.
"I hope his nose ain't broke. That shit is not cool," Ginger said, half to himself and half to start a conversation with the one sitting next to him. "Remember when Yoonsun broke my nose once and it was so swollen I couldn't speak."
Hyunwoo let out a small laugh and said that he remembered before becoming more serious to get on what he wanted to say. "Do you still care about Hoseok?" he asked with a lower tone, his sudden words making Gingerboy's smile fade too.
"Don't get mad at me, 'ight," Ginger felt regretful that he had once again disappointed Hyunwoo. "I can't help it."
Hyunwoo felt bad because he knew it wasn't easy for Gingerboy either and that the younger was sensitive too.
"Of course I should care 'bout him. He's my friend," Ginger added before Hyunwoo could figure out what to say.
"I know," Hyunwoo looked down at the tissues Gingerboy was embracing.
"Is that why you texted Hyungwon? So he could take care of Hoseok instead of me?" Gingerboy asked, getting more mad instead now.
"No. It's good that you helped him," Hyunwoo placed his hand on Gingerboy's shoulder for a moment. "Today, uhm..." he started again to ask about something else but the boy's attention was taken away by someone coming in. The ice pack fell off as Ginger turned his head towards the door.
"Yo, Gunhee, 'sup," he jumped up and headed to the door to greet the person who came in, extending his hand out already.
Gunhee never came to Spotlight because it was Yongguk's place so him being there meant that he must have came there to meet Yongguk. Gingerboy was excited to meet him so he didn't pay attention to that or the troubled look on Gunhee's face. Everybody else looked a little anxious at the sight of Gunhee since his presence never meant anything good.
"Yongguk ain't here," Yoonsun said from the other side of the hall ad Gingerboy was receiving his quick bro hug.
"He will be here later, right?" Gunhee walked away from Ginger towards the stray skateboard in the middle of the floor that coincidentally belonged to the red haired one.
"He stalks us from the cameras all the time so he probably knows you're here already," Hyunwoo said, standing up with the bloody tissues Gingerboy had abandoned on his hands. He walked to a trash can to put them in.
"Thanks for the gift," Gingerboy started excitedly, following Gunhee around as he started skating with the board he had found. "Hyunwoo took it away but I'll get it back later."
Gunhee laughed. "It's supposed to calm you. You shouldn't get into fights that much. I trust Hyunwoo to know what's best for you, though."
Gingerboy glanced at Hyunwoo, who was now walking towards them and surprised to hear Gunhee say something positive about him.
"I'm gettin' so bored with nothing to smoke," Gingerboy groaned and sat on the ground as Gunhee skated on one of the ramps.
"Did you quit smoking?"
