Gingerboy jumped awake upon hearing someone banging on his door loudly. It made his heart beat faster and he rubbed his eyes to be able to open them just in time before the door swung open and revealed the man behind it trying to wake him up.

"Damn, why do you have to scare me like that," he muttered, scratching his head and messing up his head without looking at Euijin standing on the doorway. He didn't want to reveal how scared he had gotten to wake up to loud banging.

"I tried waking you up nicely but you wouldn't even move," Euijin said, feeling a little apologetic because he saw through Gingerboy. There was still so much he needed to learn about Ginger's past and he was often worried he would do something wrong.

"I'll make my alarm louder," Gingerboy muttered while getting up and starting to find his clothes from the floor. He tried to let it show that he wasn't mad at Euijin.

"Eat something quickly and take your meds. I'll take you to school," Euijin told as he waited for Gingerboy to get ready.

"Why?" Ginger questioned since after living with Euijin for a month already, he always took a bus to school.

"I have some work to do there."

"What work?"

"Keeping a lecture to your seniors about drug use and sex," Euijin explained.

"Ugh, thank god it's not for my grade," Gingerboy said with a bit humorous tone. He thought it would be too awkward to have Euijin talking to his class.

"I can lecture you at home," Euijin smiled and then left the room so Gingerboy could get ready.

Euijin had already scolded Gingerboy about smoking in the few first days after Ginger had came home smelling strongly like cigarettes. He didn't want to nag too much but still lectured for half an hour about the dangers of smoking and made it very clear that within a hundred meters from their house, Gingerboy wouldn't even touch a cigarette. Ginger had then promised that was just one time and he was trying to quit since Hyunwoo didn't like it either.

Of course Euijin couldn't control what the young boy does in his free time too much and stop him from, for example, drinking so he just said, "Just remember no matter in how bad condition you're in or what you have done, you can always come home. If you can't get home then call me."

Gingerboy wouldn't even dare letting Euijin know about him smoking weed, knowing how much he would get scolded and how worried Euijin would be. He ended up getting rid of all the precious grass Gunhee had given him for his birthday. He bragged about it to Hyunwoo who was proud.

Gingerboy arrived to class and sat next to his friend lazily, leaning back on the chair. He looked at Minjae who was just playing with her phone. The two of them had made up on the first day when Gingerboy came back to school. He knew he wouldn't survive school without his best friend and besides that, he had a lot of things to tell her about his relationship and life situation.

"Who was that blond guy who you came with? He was so good looking," Minjae asked, making Gingerboy's eyes widen.

"Good looking? Girl that was my foster parent," Gingerboy laughed. He couldn't deny that Euijin was handsome but it was weird to hear someone talking about him that way.

"Parent? He looks like twenty-five or something."

"He is twenty-eight. He works for the social services. He's here to keep lectures about drug use and something," Gingerboy explained.
