Final Chapter: Say You Love Me

THIRD

Spring came, and it was a start of the new year. Finally, Y/n and friends were going to be third years. The second year they had was hectic but after trying to overcome all the challenges they managed to survive it.

Y/n goes to school as per normal and she decides to check the class allocation located at the staff room as per normal. They were all together, Naoki, Gumi, Rin, Len, Y/n and Miku. Y/n was happy to see herself still in best class and also in the same class as all of them. She goes into the classroom and waited for the others to come. She plugs in her earpieces. For some reason, this action reminds her of the first day of school, the same as last year. She would come in still with her earpieces. That was the beginning of everything.

The others soon came in and they went to their own chosen seats. Len sat next to Y/n as per normal. Miku and her partner, Gumi and Rin. They waited for homeroom to start. Finally, their form teacher comes in. It was a mediocre day but for Y/n it was a new beginning. Y/n and Len prepared for a date after school and Y/n couldn't wait.

After introducing themselves to the class, the next subject finally started.

Y/n

Subjects after subjects continued to go on and on the first day there was already homework. Len gets some too since he needs to accustom himself to the third year teaching. However, I can't wait for the date after school. We've gone to dates but I want to tell him something special today.

Finally, classes ended and I could have time to spend with Len. Len brought me to a place where couples would spend time at after school. The place seemed nice. Len decided to go to a Maid Cafe and brought me along. They greeted us as "Masters" and "Missus" as per normal and guided us to our seat. After that, they held out a menu for us to choose. Len chose a shared drink where the straws would be entangled and formed into a heart shape. When the drink was served, Len and I stared at the drink in awe.

The drink we chose was a strawberry drink with strawberries as the garnishing. Len and I put our mouth to the straw and sucked it in together. After having enough, we stopped at the same time and I rubbed my jaws because of the coldness of the drink. Len looked at me and smiled. I smiled back at him. I took one strawberry and fed him. I smiled while looked at his reddened face. He fed me too. I chewed happily.

We talked about various things like our future. Len thought that it was probably too early to think about it and will decide when the tine comes.

"How about you? Do you have something in mind?" Len asked me, curiously.

"Even if I did, I won't tell you." I stuck out my tongue at him, jokingly and he sulked. After that, he took my cheeks and pinched them lightly.

"Whaw awe ywe duing." I tried to speak. I wanted to say what was he doing. He released his pinches.

"Nothing, you looked cute like that." He smiled.

"E-Eh, let's finish this drink and go somewhere else." I tried changing the topic.

He nodded and we continued to drink it. After finishing the drink, we went out of the cafe and went to buy some things. Up until now, my time with him always shortened but now, it feels long.

Len

I was happy getting to spend time with Y/n. Now that we're together, we have every reason to spend time together. Of course, once in a while I'll let her spend time with her friends. Y/n looked tired after we played around so much so I decided we took a break at a bench. We sat down side by side and I settled down the bags beside the bench.

"It's been a long day. We sure had time to talk and have fun." I stretched.

"I'm happy to come here with you. Who knew you had such a plan?" Y/n said. I turned to look at her. I ruffled her hair then.

"Oi! What are you doing?" She pouted. I pinched her cheeks again, she looks displeased but after I release them, she looks happy.

"A lot of things sure happened over the past year eh." Y/n began to reminisce about the past. She looks up to the sky. I nodded and looked up too.

"It's been fun being here with you. I mean it." Y/n said, smiling wholeheartedly.

"What's with you suddenly?" I asked her, hiding my blushing face. We kept quiet for a while.

"Actually...", "Actually..." We both said together. I gave her the opportunity to talk first.

"Len, actually. I've never told you this. Up until now, I realised that I haven't told you that I.. "I love you" yet. Not properly I mean." Y/n blushed and looked away.

"What's the point of saying that now, your actions are what that matters to me." I reassured her.

"That alone isn't enough." Y/n replied back softly. I waited to see what she will do.

She suddenly pulled my head down and I slowly closed my eyes as she closed hers. Our lips met. She locked lips with me for a while and after a while, she released it. I opened my eyes after a while and it seems like we opened at the same time. She didn't seem to blush but she rather had a determined look on her face. I'm surprised to see Y/n change. Usually, she'd be embarrassed and such.

"I love you." She muttered, gently.

"Of course, I love you too." I said back, smiling.

"Please continue taking care of me." I said.

"Same goes for me." She smiled at me.

After that, she stood up and we got ready to go home. As the years go by, our story continues.
