"Will you be coming home for you break?" Her voice rang through the speaker.

"It all depends, mum." I reply to my mother who has been trying to talk me into coming home very time we have talked for the past week.

"On what Kylie wants to do?" She jokes with me.

"Maybe so." I tell her.

"She's invited, you know. I'd like to meet the girl that makes my son so happy." I can hear her smile through the phone. We didn't tell my mum that we took a break. I'm not even sure how Kylie's mum found out. It was only for one night. But nevertheless, my mum has no idea what has been going on between us. Kylie and I are better than ever. After Wednesday night we haven't spoke of what happened. We've just been happy. But I don't know that she'd want to travel half a world away from her home to visit mine. "Bradley? Are you there?" She interrupts my thoughts.

I trace the lines on the kitchen table with my finger and think of what to say. I want nothing more than for my mum and Kylie to meet, but I don't want to scare Kylie and have her run away from me again. "Yes. You guys talk on the phone all the time, mum." I remind her. "Isn't that good enough?"

"Yes, but it's not the same. I'd like to take her to lunch and see how she acts. If you're thinking long term, I'd like to know her." My mother's words cause me to choke on the air. They're true, but too much for me to process right now.

"Mum!" I shout the only thing I can think of.

"What? It is what you're thinking, isn't it?" She asks. It is but she doesn't need to know that. She'll just hold it against me later. Kylie walks into the living room wearing only my T-shirt. She looks beautiful. Her hair tied in a bun, bobbling on the top of her head. Her swollen morning face. Everything about her is so mesmerizing to me.

"I love you, mum. I'll talk to you later." I say into the phone, hoping she won't protest me and that Kylie won't try to join the conversation. Thankfully, she just raised an eyebrow at me and continued into the kitchen.

"I love you too, dear. Have a good show tonight. Tell Kylie I'll give her a call tomorrow." She says in defeat. I watch Kylie as she wrapped around the corner into the kitchen.

"Will do. Bye now." I respond and hang up. I walk into the kitchen and join Kylie by grabbing a bowl of cereal.

"Was that your mom?" Kylie asks me while pouring the milk over her cereal.

"Yes. She says hi. She's going to call you at some point this weekend." I respond and grab the mold from her once she's done.

"What did she have to say?" She says as she made her way over to the table and took a seat, still waiting for me to eat.

"Just the normal "hi honey. I love you, I hope you're doing well, please travel across the world to come see us." You know. Mom stuff" I laugh and join her at the table.

"She just misses you." She takes a bite of her breakfast and waits for me to respond.

"I know. She wants me to bring you." I'm honest with her and her eyes go wide at my words. "Don't look so surprised. You know she adores you just as much as me." I pause to look at her. "If not more" I wink at her and take a bite.

"I know. I really want to meet her too. The money just worries me. I don't have that type of money." She takes another bite. She doesn't seem upset or embarrassed. We were just being open with each other and having a conversation. It was nice.

"Money isn't an issue." I say honestly. I make enough money doing gigs with the boys and money I saved up over the years. "It's the matter of if you'd like to go or not."
