Her voice rings through the phone speaker. "Brad? Bradley. Where is my daughter. Jessie stopped by your house three different times and said you weren't-" I end the phone call before I can hear anything else. I haven't spoken to my mom in months and for some reason now she wants to send Jessie to come find me and keep an eye on me?  Unbelievable.

I set down brads phone and head back to bed but before I can lay down, the phone rings again. Sure enough it was her.

I put on the bravest voice that I could and answered the phone.

"Hello." I say.

"Kylie? Baby? Where are you?!" She shouts into the phone.

"I'm in England with brad and his family." I am cold and short.

"Why are you in England while you're pregnant?!" She asks.

"How did you find that out?" I'm at a loss for words.

"How do I always find things out about you?" Her words boil my blood because I know exactly who always tells her. And it wasn't Jessie because he doesn't know.

"Mom, it's really none of your business at this point. You left. I'm not your concern anymore." I muster out the words before I begin crying.

"You're always my concern. I didn't leave you Kylie. I just moved on from your father. I know that's not something you could do so I didn't ask you. I know that you don't see it that way but it's the truth. I never left you." She says. There's a lot of things my mother is good at, getting me to forgive her is one of them, but not this time.

"Whatever you say, mother. Brad just woke up. I have to go." I lie and hang up the phone, not allowing her to protest.

Brads POV

I don't think she realizes I actually am awake. She looks so distraught. Her mum has been calling me for the past few days, but I haven't answered out of respect for Kylie.

She sets the phone down and turns around as if she's about to walk back to bed, but she doesn't. She just stands there. Her head hanging low, I watch as her eyes fall closed and a single tear trickles down her face. It drops off her chin onto her chest and is followed by a stream of more tears. Her face is clenched up, she's trying to hold the tears in, but it's not working. They just keep running down her face like a river.

She unclenches her fists, relaxes her face, stands up tall, and lets the remaining tears fall from her eyes, then wipes her face and places her palm on her belly.

"It will be alright." She whispers to her belly. My sweet girl. I'll never understand how anyone could leave her.

She turns and walks out of the room and I quickly slide on pants so I can follow her. I peak out the window, first to see who is here. It looks like my mum and dad are both at work.

I quickly open my door and race down the stairs. Kylie is sitting at the kitchen table, eating avocado toast that was previously made by my mum.

"Hey, beautiful." I say to her.

She quickly wipes the tears from her face and sniffles before saying, "good morning, handsome." She fakes a smile and takes another bite. I raise my brows at her and she says, "you heard that, didn't you?"

"Not if you didn't want me too." I joke with her.

"I didn't, but I'm glad you did.." she takes another bite and then continues, "I'm just so angry that Bri keeps telling her things that's she has no right to. It just makes no sense." She softly rolls her eyes. Her blonde hair has curled up around her forehead from sleep. She pushes it out of her face and continues eating.

"Have you talked to her about it yet?" I ask her.

"It's only 5 am at home. My mom must have called on her way to work. There's no way Bri would be awake right now." She takes her last bit of toast, then walks her plate over to the dishwasher and loads it in.

"That's true," I say, "I think you should tell her that it's bother you at some point today, though. It's not good to hold in your feelings."

"I know it's not. I just hate to fight with her. She's all I've had to depend on my entire life, you know." She says. I admittedly am hurt by her statement and she can tell.

She walks over to me and wraps her small arms around my neck, "until now," she kisses my cheek.

"Yeah, yeah." I joke

"I'm serious. You're my rock, Brad. You saved me." She smiles up at me and her big, blue eyes are now glossy.

"You saved me too." I whisper to her and take her head between my hands and pull her in for a kiss.

"No you can't have my drink, are you crazy?" Con says to the girl that's been following him around the party all night. She's been doing anything she can to get his attention but he's not having any part of it.

"Simpson, come play with us." I hear a familiar voice call from the kitchen.

"No thanks, I'll pass." I say politely to him. Kylie gives me an odd look.

"Come on, man. I haven't seen you in years. Just one game of pong." He insists.

"It's okay. I don't mind. I'll just hang out with Con." Kylie assures me.

"Kye, you don't get it, he's-" I try to explain but she cuts me off.

"Go, Brad. You deserve to have a little fun." She smiles. She doesn't understand, but I do as she says.

"Alright, mate. One game." I say and he looks at me with a devilish smile.

I approach the table and see two girls alongside Devin. Obviously plastered, they are hanging all over him.

"Alright, lets get this over with." I say to Devin, expecting him to walk over to my side of the table, but instead he calls a name I never thought I'd hear again in my life.
