Ayumi was hardly able to focus during school that day, in one day her life had changed and everyone noticed. After class Yoshiki walked up to Ayumi and tried to talk to her,

"Shinozaki, are you okay? You seem kinda off..."

"Do I look okay too you?!" She snapped "God why are you so stupid?!"

"Geez, calm down I was only checking up on you" Yoshiki replied taken aback by her outburst.

"Well I never asked for you to check up on me, so leave me the hell alone!"She stormed off down the hall. He wasn't sure what he said that upset her so much, but he decided not to ask.

Ayumi decided to go up to the roof to get some fresh air, but Satoshi and Naomi were up there and they were talking to each other while holding hands. If Ayumi hadn't restrained herself she would have lounged at Naomi. She hated how Satoshi loved her and not Ayumi, and now it seemed it was official. Ayumi turned around and took off. She wasn't sure where she was going but she just wanted to be alone. She found an empty classroom and sat down in a desk. She wanted to scream at the top of her lungs, but she knew better than that. While the classroom was empty Ayumi felt as if someone else was there with her, that's when she saw it. The spirit from earlier was sitting in the desk beside her.

"Hello Ayumi" she smiled at her.

"How do you know my name?!" Ayumi stood up and backed away.

"We've met before, in a different timeline" Sachiko giggled "Your friends are dying, and there's nothing you can do to save them"

"Stop! Why are you doing this?!" Ayumi put her heads on her head, she wanted nothing more than for things to just end.

"To make things right, after all you should all be suffering right now" Sachiko smirked before vanishing. Ayumi broke down in tears, why was this happening to her, what did she do to make this spirit so angry? Suddenly the door opened and Yoshiki ran in.

"Shinozaki! What happened?" He sat beside her trying to calm her down.

"I saw the spirit...she's the one killing all our friends" Despite her earlier outburst Ayumi opened up to Yoshiki allowing him to console her. Right now she just didn't want to be alone anymore.

"Dammit, I bet she's getting a good laugh out of our misery right now!" Yoshiki punched the desk beside him.

"Getting angry won't do anything to help us right now, we need to figure out how to stop the spirit before she claims anymore lives." Ayumi stood up, "Maybe instead of an exorcism we can appease the spirit instead"

"What's the difference" Yoshiki stood up and sat on the desk.

"Appeasing the spirit sends it to the afterlife, so it can never come back. We have to learn more about this spirit. Kishinuma, I don't want to put the others in danger, would you help me?" Ayumi hated to admit it, but Yoshiki was the best choice for this task.

"Uh, sure where do we start?" He was determined to make sure that Ayumi was safe no matte what. He wouldn't let this spirit take her life, not if he could help it.

                                                                     ----------------------------

Yoshiki had gone to Ayumi's house to help her look through some of Hinoe's books. One of them had to have information about this spirit. After hours of reading, Ayumi came across an old newspaper article. The girl in the red dress had died many years ago it seemed, her mother had fallen down the stairs and broken her neck and Sachiko had gone missing. It was a safe bet that she had died shortly after going missing.

"At least we have a start" Ayumi sighed, this was going to be a long day and she had to spend it with Kishinuma of all people. Ayumi noticed a small book in the stack that hadn't been there before. It was a diary. On the inside cover was the name Yoshie Shinozaki. Reading through it seemed the truth behind the incident was revealed. The principal of Heavenly Host had killed Sachiko and her mom.

"So, we know how she died, but how do we appease her?" Yoshiki scratched his head, this spirit stuff was beyond him.

"Well, we need to appeal to her humanity, maybe if we can find something of hers that was important to her we may be able to appease her" Ayumi set the diary down.

"But how can we find anything of hers? Any physical object has to be long gone by now"

"Yeah, but maybe if we look around school we'll find something, after all if Sachiko was a student at Heavenly Host then maybe there's something we may be able to find" Ayumi had a hard time convincing herself that was true, but she had to if she ever wanted to save her friends...
