Chapter 10

Levy P.O.V

"We have patrol tonight with Natsu and Lucy." I told Gajeel. He nodded as he yawned. He laid his head on the table we were sitting at and I giggled. "Tired?"

"Gee I wonder why." he muttered. I felt my face go red. "Gihee." He grinned and I punched his arm.

When it was finally time to go on patrol we met Natsu and Lucy outside the gates. "Hey guys! Ready to go?" Lucy asked. We nodded. I looked around, hand on one of my blades. I had this uneasy feeling in the pit of my stomach.

Gajeel gently grabbed my shoulder. "You alright?" I nodded. "Something just doesn't set right with me." He nodded. "I feel it too."

The patrol went by quietly, almost to perfectly. On our way back from the manor, a scream came from an alley. "Somebody please help!" a woman screamed. "Natsu, Gajeel wait here!" Lucy said as we ran down the alley. It was barely wide enough for the two of us.

The woman continued to scream as we got closer. We I could finally see her shape she started whimpering. "Are you alright?" I asked as I knelt in front if her. "Oh, little mouse, I'm so glad your here." she said.

I froze.

I ducked back just as she slashed at me. She was a younger girl with short hair, I knew it was pink. I drew out my blade to block hers. Lucy lashed out with her whip but the girl dodged.

"Meredy!" I shouted at her. She grinned and slashed again. I got out of the way and stood beside and a bit in front of Lucy. "Little mouse, Mr.Fernandez would like to see you."

I gritted my teeth. "You guys are not taking her back!" Lucy shouted. Meredy glared at her. "Your a nuisance." She charged at Lucy, blade drawn. I did the only thing I could think of and lept in front of her.

The blade bit into my side and I winced."Levy!!" Lucy cried. I could hear the boys rushing down the alley now. The blood began soaking my shirt and I began to feel light headed. 'Why is it always me?'

I slashed at Meredy and she lept back, ripping the blade from my skin. I cried out and it took all my strength to stay standing. She pulled out a gun and fired. Lucy cried out and I heard grunts from the boys now that they were closer.

"Meredy your taking to long." A woman appeared from behind her. "Ultear." I growled. Why couldn't the bitch just die. Before I realized what happened she rushed at me, and everything went black.

Gajeel P.O.V

"Levy!!"I heard Lucy scream. I set off running before I realized it. The alley never seemed to end, but as we go closer there were gun shots. I grunted as one pierced my shoulder and the right side of my chest.

My eyes widened and for the first time in a long time I felt fear. A bloody Levy was draped over the shoulder of Ultear. I remembered her from the party. I glared at her and charge.

She pulled out a gun and started firing. I felt a third bullet pierce my leg and it have out on me. Damn it!

I pulled myself to my feet but they were already gone. "Damn it!" I shouted, punching the ground.

I felt a hand on my shoulder. "Don't worry, we will find her." Natsu said. He had Lucy on his back and her arm was bloody where she had been shot. I nodded a little and got on my feet again.

I continued down the alley hoping to find them. All I found was Levys broken glasses.
