Falling is a glorious feeling. The wind sculpting your body, surrounding your edges. The whistle of the wind humming through your ears. I feel the weight being lifted off my chest as a scream of desperation escapes my lips. I open my eyes as a single tear surfaces, and a gasp for air escapes my mouth. The sound of my lifeless body hitting the ground fills the streets, and an endless wave of screams follows. Regret clouds my mind, blocking out the sound of my surroundings.

I'm not ready to die

The sky turns a shade of crimson, as the giant ball of fire hits the horizon, sending an explosion of colors across the sky. I hear the rustle of autumn leaves as they dance in the light of the sun, unfolding in its glorious colors. I'm waiting for the sound of sirens, as my cold body hugs the concrete ground. Any sign I'm still alive. I lay in silence as my blood begins to fill the streets. I'm not in pain. I never was. After being sick for a long time, pain is no longer a feeling, it's a state of mind. A switch. The switch however, is as easily turned on as it is turned off. And at the sight of his face, my whole body jumped, sending an explosion of pain through my entire body. And just like that, the switch was on.
