He stopped tickling her, and Bree soon yawned. "It's getting late. Let's go to bed." Chris softly says, and Bree nods. She took off her shoes and got underneath the covers while Chris got ready for bed. When he finished, he left the bathroom and found Bree asleep. So, without waking her, he got under the covers and held her close to him while they slept.
~The next morning~
(Bree's POV)
The first thing that I noticed when I opened my eyes was how peaceful he looked while he was sleeping. Without waking him, I tried to get out of bed, but I couldn't move; his arms were protectively wrapped around my waist in a possessive manner. It didn't look like he would let me go anytime soon. 'Great! How am I going to get him to let me go?' I sighed and tried to find a way to escape Chris's arms because I was hungry. An idea soon popped into my head, and I tickled the side of his face, and he let me go.
Taking this chance, I got off the bed and looked at Chris, who unconsciously touched the spot where I had slept last night. It was like he was searching for something, and when Chris didn't find what he was looking for, a frown formed on his sleeping face. Tiptoeing to his side of the bed, I affectionately kiss his cheek before heading to the kitchen to make myself some food. When I got there, I looked in the pantry, and a big smile formed on my face when I found a bag of chocolate chips and pancake mix. I grabbed the two items from out of the cabinet and set them on the counter before I searched for a frying pan. After I found what I was looking for, I put the frying pan on the stove and turned it on. Then, I raided the fridge for the ingredients that I needed.
Once I had everything that I needed, I began to make pancakes. I was so focused on not trying to burn them that when a pair of arms snaked themselves around my waist, I let out a small scream and jumped. I turned around when I heard Chris laugh. "D-Don't scare me like that!" I said in mock anger and clutched my heart. "I didn't mean to scare you." He whispered before he pecked my lips. Chris left the kitchen and sat in his favorite chair while I finished breakfast. After the pancakes were done, I made a plate of pancakes for Chris and me; then I set them on the table. "I hope you like chocolate chip pancakes," I chirped.
"I never had them before." Chris admitted, and I gaped.'Blasphemy!' I internally shouted as he looked at his plate. I put strawberries and Cool Whip on his pancakes while mine had peanut butter, chocolate syrup, chocolate chips, and Cool Whip on mine.
