*Last time on Total Drama Island*
*Still Chris's POV*
The gnashes on her arm were deep, but they didn't look life-threatening. "You're lucky. If these wounds had gone any deeper, then your arm would've been permanently damaged." The nurse said to Bree as she expertly cleaned and stitched her arm. I never saw Bree cry or hear her complain about the pain. She just sat on the infirmary bed and let the nurse do her job. I would honestly have to say that I was impressed. When the nurse finally finished stitching Bree's arm, she told her that she wasn't allowed to do anything that would rip the stitches. 'Looks like Bree won't be able to do tomorrow's challenge.' I sighed and tried to tune out the nurse's yammering.
The nurse kept talking on and on. I almost let out a sigh of relief when she said. "OK, young lady, you're free to go. And try to be careful of your stitches."
(Bree's POV)
The nurse was lovely, but she talked non-stop. By the time the nurse finished talking, I was about ready to get out of there. As I was about to leave, I asked, "Chris? Why was everyone running around the camp?" A mischievous smile appeared on his face. "It's part of today's challenge. And since the nurse said that you couldn't do anything that would tear your stitches. You'll have to skip that part of the challenge and wait with Chef and me in the mess hall." I almost hugged Chris when he said that I didn't have to run around the camp like Duncan, Izzy, and the other campers had to. "Thank you for taking me to the infirmary, Chris," I said softly before I walked out of the white sterile room and headed to the mess hall.
When I got there, I sat down at The Gophers' table and set my favorite bag on the floor. Using my good arm, I reach into my pack and pull out my FanFiction journal. Then, I started writing new chapters for my stories to post when I returned home. While writing, I felt someone staring at me, but I tried to ignore it. Whoever was staring at me soon stopped, and I couldn't help but feel sad until I felt their piercing gaze on me again. A smile had left on my face, and I returned to writing. Suddenly, I heard someone sit right next to me, and they took my journal away from me. I looked up and saw Chris smile at me. "Whatcha you writing?" He asked me.
"FanFiction," I said quietly before trying to regain my journal. Chris held it above my reach, but I smiled at him when he gave it back to me. "What's the story about?" He asked with a curious gleam in his piercing black eyes. "Why don't you read it and find out," I told him, but I didn't expect him to read one of my journals. So, while he was reading, I took this chance to study him, and I had to admit that Chris was handsome. The way he scrunched his nose while he read was so cute, and I couldn't help but admire how focused he was as he read through each page. As I was quietly admiring Chris, I wondered, 'Why was he so concerned about my injury? Does he like me? No, I highly doubt he would care for someone like me!' I don't know why that thought made me sad.
(Chef's POV)
I knew that Chris had a massive crush on Bree. How could he not? The girl was talented and beautiful and wasn't fake like all the other girls he had dated. 'I wonder when those two will admit they like each other.' I chuckled as I made food for all of the ungrateful campers. They should all be glad that I even cook for them. "Bunch of ungrateful little shits," I muttered under my breath as I cooked for the twenty-two campers.
Bree was the only camper that I didn't dislike because, unlike the rest of those ingrates, she was respectful to me. 'I can't wait to read her new chapters.' I smiled happily. Bree made a deal with me: if I fixed her regular food, she would let me read her new chapters. It was a win-win for both of us. 'I can't wait to see who will die in the next chapter. I hope it's Jessica, she's a bitch.' I whistled while peeling potatoes.
(If anyone's name is Jessica, I hope I didn't offend you. It was the first name that popped into my head.)
After peeling the potatoes, I looked out the serving window and saw Bree staring at Chris. 'She has it bad for him.' I chuckled to myself and silently wished my friend the best of luck.
