It was quiet and vast down the roads of privet drive, a small fog having covered the beautifully, dimming lit roads. From out of the trees, walked albus dumbledore, along with a feline companion who awaited him. From out of his robes, dumbledore took out a small gadget, as he took away the lights from the street lamps. The sudden meow had caught his attention, his head turning to meet the cat, and he had smiled at the feline.
“ i should have known you would be here,” he said as he looks down at the cat, “ professor mcgonagall.”
The cat had suddenly disappeared within the shadows, revealing a woman, as she walked over to the man.
“ good evening professor dumbledore,” she greets.

The two walked down the road, their shoes clacking simultaneously, as mcgonagall held a worried glance.
“ are the rumors true albus?” she asked the man.
“ i am afraid so professor,” he spoke, “ the good and the bad.”
“ and the children?”
“ hagrid is bringing them.”
“ do you think it wise?” she asked, “ to trust hagrid with something as important as this?”
“ ah professor,” dumbledore smiles at her, “ i would trust hagrid with my life.”

She didn’t look convinced when he told her that, until they both turned, as hagrid lands his flying motorcycle. The two had watched the man as he parked his vehicle, having a sling strapped around his shoulder, as he took off his goggles.
“ professor dumbledore sir,” he said with a smile, “ professor mcgonagall.”
“ no problems i trust hagrid,” asked dumbledore once the man was on his feet.
“ no sir,” he confirmed, “ little tykes fell asleep just as we were over bristol.”
The man slowly pulled one bundle out at a time from his sling, as he was attempting to stay calm, and keep quiet.
“ try no to wake them,” he warns, “ there you go.”

They walked towards a large tacky, brown house, as dumbledore carried the two bundles in his arms.
“ albus do you really think it’s safe leaving them with these people?” asked mcgonagall, “ i have watched them all day, they are the worst sort of muggles imaginable.”
Dumbledore had ignored her, as he kept walking, and mcgonagall had only tried to make the man change his mind.
“ they really are,” she insisted.
“ the only family they have,” said dumbledore as he looked at her.
“ these children will be famous,” said mcgonagall, “ there won’t be a child in our world that doesn’t know their name.”
“ exactly,” dumbledore had looked down at the little ones, “ they’re far better off growing up away from all of that.”

The small sound of hagrid sniffing made dumbledore look up, as he had a small smile, before looking down at the little ones.
“ until they are ready.”
Dumbledore had slowly bent down, placing the babies down on the doorstep, before standing straight again. Hagrid had been sniffling, as small tears were slowly running down his cheeks, having not want to wipe them away.
“ there there hagrid,” assured dumbledore as he looked at him,“ it’s not really goodbye after all.”
Hagrid gave the man a short nod, giving a small watery smile, as he had continued to sniff. Dumbledore turned back to the babies, as he bent down again, placing a small note onto them.

“ good luck,” dumbledore sighed as he looks at them, “ harry and emma potter.”

……………….

It was the start of june twenty third, two ten year old children had been asleep, both cuddling the other for warmth. One was a light peach skinned boy with jet black hair, with a lightning shaped scar, laying above his right brow on his forehead. His twin, a same skin toned girl, but she had short ginger red hair. The bright flash of light, which came from a small compartment of where they slept, awoke the two.
“ up!get up,” came a woman’s voice as she knocks and unlocks the door with a bang, “ now!”
The twins had sat up, as the girl allows her brother room, so he could put on his glasses. There was a sudden bounding down the stairs, making the girl groan when it stops, before there is a banging above their heads.
