chapter fifty.

Emma follows harry up the stairs, the hustling and bustling, shouting sea of students moving past them.
“ harry, emma,” ron called and they turned to him, “ hermione and i have been thinking.”
“ it doesn’t matter if we find a horcrux,” he said.
“ what do you mean?” asked harry.
“ unless we can destroy it,” said hermione.
“ so we were thinking….”
“ well ron was thinking,” said hermione, “ it was ron’s idea it’s completely brilliant.”

“ you destroyed tom riddle's diary with a basilisk fang right?” asked ron.
“ yeah,” emma nodded her head.
“ well me and hermione know where we might find one,” he said.
“ okay, okay but take this,” harry hands them the marauder’s map, “ that way you can find us when you get back.”
“ where are you going?” hermione called after them.
“ ravenclaw common room,” said emma, “ gotta start somewhere.”
“ harry,” he looks at emma, “ are you sure it’s in the common room?”

“ not sure,” said harry, “ but we have to try.”
“ harry, emma wait,” emma jumped turning to luna, “ i need to talk to you.”
“ i’m a bit preoccupied at the moment luna,” said harry.
“ you won’t find anything where you’re going,” said luna, “ you’re wasting time.”
“ what do you mean luna?” emma asked.
“ look we’ll talk later okay luna?” said harry.
“ harry,” emma and luna call to him.

“ later.”
“ harry potter!” luna shouts making emma jump, “ you listen to me right now!”
“ don’t you remember what cho said about rowena ravenclaw’s diadem?” she asked, “ there’s not a person alive who’s seen it.”
“ it’s obvious isn’t it?” she asked, “ we have to talk to someone who’s dead.”
A bright light caught emma’s eye, looking out the window, as a large protection charm was being made.
“ it’s very impressive isn’t it?” luna asked.
“ yeah,” emma smiled at luna, “ lead the way luna.”

Luna nodded to emma with a smile, leading them down the stairs, as the twins follow her to a hall.
“ if you’re to find her you’ll find her down here,” said luna.
“ aren’t you coming?” asked harry.
“ no,” luna shook her head, “ i think it’s best you three talk alone.”
“ she’s very shy,” she add.
“ thanks luna,” emma smiled at the blonde haired girl.
“ emma wait,” emma looks at her, “ helena will understand you more than you think.”

Emma nodded to her with a smile, following after harry, as they walked down the hall. Emma caught the fading silhouette, of helena ravenclaw as they walked, the woman turning to them with a frown.
“ you’re the grey lady…” said harry, “ the ghost of ravenclaw tower.”
“ i do not answer to that name,” said the woman.
“ no wait,” emma called to her, “ your name is helena.”
“ helena ravenclaw,” said harry, “ rowena’s daughter.”
“ are you friends of luna’s?” asked helena.

“ yes,” emma nods her head.
“ and she thought you might be able to help us,” said harry.
“ you seek my mother’s diadem,” she hissed.
“ yes,” said harry, “ that’s right.”
“ luna is kind unlike so many of the others,” said helena.
“ but she was wrong,” she adds, “ i cannot help you.”
She disappears into air, moving past the twins, as she moves to the other hall.

“ wait,” harry called as they ran after her, “ please.”
“ i want to destroy it,” said harry and helena stops.
“ that’s what you want too isn’t it helena?” harry asked, “ you want it destroyed.”
“ another swore to destroy it many years ago…” said helena, “ a strange boy...with a strange name.”
“ tom riddle,” said emma.
“ but he lied,” said helena.
“ he’s lied to many people,” said harry.
