The memory had been playing in emma’s head, another image, of voldemort’s childhood that she had seen from the cup of hufflepuff. They had apparated to hogsmeade, a loud sound of cat warning, echoing in the village. Immediately when hearing the people, the four ran into honeydukes, having been hidden behind a table.
“ potters!” the cat alarms activate again.
They had ran into an alleyway, but the gate that had been there, was locked shut. Emma jumped when hearing a door open, having fear it was someone ready to turn them in, as they all turned.
“ in here potters.”

“ thank you,” emma said to the kind man as they ran inside.
“ did you get a look at him?” ron asked hermione as they had been down the stairs of the strangers home, “ for a second i thought it was..”
“ i know,” said hermione, “dumbledore.”
The place had looked familiar to emma somehow, but she couldn’t figure out why, that was until she caught sight of a familiar frame. Upon a small table, had been a moving picture, of professor dumbledore.
“ you bloody fools,” they turned to the man, “ what were you thinking coming here?”
“ you’re…” emma gasped when she got a better look at the man.

“ have you any idea how dangerous it is?”
“ you’re aberforth dumbledore’s brother,” said harry as he looked at the man.
Aberforth was a bit different from the professor, emma could tell, as his skin was a lighter tone than dumbledore’s. He had much longer grey hair, if not a tad bit shorter than dumbledore’s, having a lighter blue eye color.
“ it’s you who i’ve been seeing in here,” said harry, “ you’re the one who sent dobby.”
“ where have you left him?” aberforth asked.
“ he’s dead sir,” said emma, “ he protected us from bellatrix lestrange.”

“ sorry to hear it,” said aberforth, “ i liked that elf.”
“ who gave that to you?” asked harry, “ the mirror?”
“ mundungus fletcher,” said aberforth, “ about a year ago.”
“ dung had no right,” said harry, “ it belongs to..”
“ sirius,” said aberforth, “ albus told me.”
“ he told me the whole story,” he looked at emma as he spoke.
“ he also told me you’d likely be hacked off if you ever found out i had it,” he adds when looking at harry, “but ask yourself where would you be if i didn’t?”

He placed a tray of food and butterbeer down, ron and hermione taking some, gratefully as ron munched down on his food.
“ do you hear from the others much?” hermione asked, “ from the order?”
“ the order’s finished,” said aberforth, “ you-know-who’s won.”
“ anyone who says otherwise is kidding themselves,” he adds.
“ we need to get into hogwarts tonight,” said harry, “dumbledore gave us a job to do.”
“ did he now?” asked aberforth, “ nice job? Easy?”
“ we’ve been hunting horcruxes sir,” said emma.

“ we think the last one’s inside the castle,” said harry, “ but we’ll need your help getting in.”
“ it’s not a job my brother’s given you,” said aberforth, “ it’s a suicide mission.”
“ do yourself and your sister a favor boy go home,” he said, “ live a little longer.”
“ dumbledore trusted me to see this through,” said harry.
“ what makes you think you can trust him?” aberforth asked, “ what makes you think you can believe anything my brother told you?”
“ in all the time you knew him did he ever mention my name?” he asked, “ did he ever mention hers?”
“ why should he…?”

“ keep secrets?” said aberforth as he cut harry off, “ you tell me.”
“ i trusted him,” said harry.
“ that’s a boy’s answer,” said aberforth, “ a boy who goes chasing horcruxes on the word of a man...who wouldn’t even tell him where to start.”
“ you’re lying!” he shouts.
“ not just to me that doesn’t matter,” he adds, “ but to yourself as well.”
“ that’s what a fool does,” he said, “ you don’t strike me as a fool harry potter.”
“ so i’ll ask you again,” he said, “ there must be a reason.”
