I let out an embarrassing little giggle. Why am I acting so stupid?! My hearts racing and palms are starting to sweat. Bella! Get a hold of yourself!
"Bella."
" What dad?"
" The truck"
" What about the truck?"
" Uh, it's your homecoming present?"
" What?! Are you kidding me? This perfect! Thanks dad!"
" Well I just bought it off of billy here."
I get in the car and feel the car I feel how high above the road I am, I feel the grip on the steering wheel. It's a little rough. But it's also my own car! I'd probably have to do something about the color though. The color is a little bleh. I'm not usually a girly girl so I don't care that much but still. Jacob opens the door and sits in the front seat.
" You got to double pump the clutch but as long as you do that I think your good."
Wow! I jump out of the car and run into Jacob on accident. I fall almost hitting my head on the side walk. But Jacob catches me. He pulls me up slowly with a firm grip on my waist. Our eyes connected the whole time.
"You kids okay?" Billy says. And we snap out of our little trance.
