Draco's P.O.V
My parents annual Christmas party was full of pureblood wizards and witches. Most I reconginized were Death Eater families and their children.
Anna doesn't belong in a place like this, with people like us.
Anna's parents cant be loyal to the Dark Lord, it doesn't make sense.
Entering the mainroom, I left Anna to mingle with a few pureblood Hufflepuffs so I could track down my parents.
Sneaking up stairs and into my fathers office, I found him sitting at his desk looking out the window.
"Is it true?" I asked, not bothering to take a seat.
"Is what true, Draco?" He turned around in his chair to face me.
"The Brookes. Harley Brookes family are Death Eaters. Are they loyal to the Dark Lord?"
"Oh the Brookes. Yes, yes, they are loyal. I hadn't spoken to Harley since the Dark Lords fall until just a week ago. Now that the Dark Lord is back in power, they are moving in just across the way. Isnt that lovely."
I felt sick.
"When will she know?" I asked, taking a seat before the room started spinning.
"Who? Your mother?" My father gave me a confused look.
"Anna, when will Anna find out?"
"She won't find out because she doesn't need to know." My father stated giving me a cool look.
"She's going to figure it out sooner or later that somethings going on if she's attending Death Eater Ceremonies. Especially when it's her own." I screamed.
My father still gave me a confused look, that now, was more shock.
"Anna Brookes, my girlfriend. Daughter of Harley Brookes."
Everything started to sink in and unlike me, my dad was......happy?
He was happy about this.
"Splendid match." He clapped his hands and chuckled.
This isn't the life I ever wanted for Anna. She deserves so much more.
Running out of the office, I hurried down the steps. Searching for Anna, I found her in a single wooden chair by the wall.
"We need to go" I stated, grabbing her arm and pulling her up.
She followed without question, stepping back into my fireplace I whispered the Weasleys home address.Flying out of the fireplace, we were welcomed by Ron, Ginny, and Mrs. Weasley staring at us.
"Excuse us." I muttered, leading Anna outside the house.
Walking a little ways, I spun around and looked at my beautfiul little angel.
She was everything to me.
"What's going on Draco?" She gave me a concerned look and stroked my hand.
This wonderful girl, this amazing girl was worried about me. When I was the one who was about to break her heart.
"Remember earlier at dinner, when your dad said he used to work with my father?" I asked a little above a whisper.
She nodded for me to continue.
"My father has only ever had one job..............And...that is working for...The Dark..Lord." I said, looking down at my feet.
Lifting my chin with her hand, she looked into my eyes.
"My dad must have been mistaken then." She answered.
"I talked to my father at the party" I stated, pausing. Regretting every single word out of my mouth. "He knows your father. Your parents went into hiding when the Dark Lord fell, before you were born. Now that he is back and powerful, your father is to rejoin."
Tears were falling down her cheeks but I had to continue while I still could.
"My father spoke to your dad a week ago. You are to move to London, near us. Continue your duties as followers of the Dark Lord. Become a Death Eater." I whispered the last part.
Looking back into her eyes, they were rivers.
"I understand how you must feel. I know it's scary and you don't want to do any of that but it must be done. If not the Dark Lord will find you. Become a Death Eater or be killed. It's in our blood Anna."
"Our blood! OUR BLOOD! MAYBE IN YOURS BUT NOT IN MINE!" She screamed at me, furious. "My parents may drag me to London, they may do jobs for...You know Who but I will never become a soul-less Death Eater"
"Anna please. You will be killed if you dont. You think I want to be one? No but I have no choice." I pleaded with her.
"You do have a choice Draco! Stand up! Fight for what is right! Be the man I know you are!" She screamed up at me.
"Dont you understand! Im becoming a Death Eater. There is no other way!" I screamed back.
She looked at me with hurt eyes. Putting on a strong face, I knew she wasn't about to agree with me.
"Then I hope you understand that I can't be with someone like you. Apprently, I had you all wrong." She stated, spinning around. Walking toward the house.
Before she could turn around and give me one last look. I was already gone.
I knew she would hate me after I told her. Why else would I take her to Weasles.
But It still didn't make the pain of heartbreak feel any better.
