Anna's P.O.V
"Welcome to our home, we are so glad you are able to join us tonight"
Saying the samething over and over again was getting old and a fake smile can only last so long till it turns into a scowl.
It took a good hour for everyone to arrive but the one person I hoped would be here, never showed.
Even though his parents had.
"Mr. and Mrs. Malfoy, glad you could make it. Please, head in and make yourself at home" I smiled, happy they were the last.
Shutting the door behind them, I was caught by my father who was overwhelmed and it was obvious.
"I need you to take a tray around, we dont have enough elves and food isn't getting out"
Thrusting a tray of food into my hands, I didn't argue.
I just wanted this to be over.
I mingled with different mothers and kids, shoving puffs in their direction and putting a friendly expression on my face.
Before I knew it, my tray was empty and people were looking for more.
My heels clicked against the wooden floor as I made my way toward the kitchen to fill my plate up again.
Setting the tray on the island behind me, I opened the refridgerator door and pulled out the extra creme puffs hidden in the back.
Going back to the tray, I stopped and was more amazed to see a single red rose laying across it.
I knew there was no one else in here with me and looking around the room, I confirmed it.
Picking up the rose and taking a small wiff, it slowly flaked away into gold dust that blew all around the kitchen; fading away.
Even though I had no idea who it came from or why, it was beautiful.
The sound of people talking however, brought be out of my trance and I remembered the reason I was here in the first place.
Getting back to work, I placed puffs on my tray although, I still had an uneasy feeling.

Placing the unneeded puffs back in the fridge, I turned around to meet Peter face to face.
Letting a slight scream escape my lips, I chuckled at how easily frightened I get.
"Peter, you scared me" I said, playfully hitting his arm.
"Been looking for you everywhere. Crowds becoming restless, the creme puffs are the talk of the town" He stated, picking up my tray. "I can actually handle it from here if you want to take a break"
It's like he read my mind.
Shaking my head, he made his way back out of the doors and into the sea of hungry guests.

Exhausted, I knew if I sat down now, I would never get back up.
Instead I took to leaning against the island and resting my chin in my hand.
What a day.
Resting my eyes, I had no idea if it was my imagination or what but I could feel fingers trace soothing lines up and down my bare back.
The touch became more prominant after a few seconds and I could smell musk hanging in the air.
"You're a vision" Draco whispered in my ear.
Spinning around in his arms, I peered up at him.
"You don't look so bad yourself"
Snatching a glance over my shoulder, he vanished into thin air with nothing but a Pop.
"Anna, you coming out or what?" Peter asked, hanging in the doorway.
"Uh, yeah. Be there in a second"
Peter was gone and I had duties to attend to.
I couldn't be worried about where Draco went off to.
Picking up another tray from the fridge, I was almost out the door when Draco popped back in.
"I dont think so. Someone as beautiful as you serving? Not on my watch" He winked taking the tray away from me "But, your mum wanted me to fetch you and bring you up to the study"
"What are you? A dog now" I teased, chuckling as I opened the swinging door.
"I do what im told" He stated, acting like the angel he pretended to be.
I let him lead me up to the study as my mind wondered why my mother would ever need me in private at a time like this?
As we headed into the dark study, I gave the area a curious look before turning back to Draco.
"There is no one here" I stated, crossing my arms.
"Oh I must have gotten mum and boyfriend mixed up. Bloody memory, always going" He chuckled, grabbing me by the waist.
I wrapped my arms around his neck and did what ive been wanting to do for weeks now and that was kiss the man I loved.
He layed his hands across my back and lifted me up onto the desk. Snogging for a few breathless moments, I knew nothing could get better then this.
He tangled his hands through my hair and started to take the pins out, revealing my long blonde waves.
I could smell my strawberry shampoo that mixed with his musky scent and I swear, It was the most beautiful smell.
"Anna" Draco, murmmered against my lips.
But I couldn't stop.
Why would I want too?
Pulling his tie down towards me, I made sure he couldn't back away.
"Looks like you're trapped Malfoy" I chuckled, "What do you suppose we do about that?"
"Nothing, I must say, im pretty powerless when it comes to you" He laughed honestly.
Hearing a lock click from behind Draco, we both turned to see my dad standing there giving me a disapproving look.
Until he saw Draco.
"Ah, Hello Draco. What a surprise, glad  you could make it" My dad held his hand out.
"Like wise Sir"
"Sorry to intrude, I was just looking for your mother" Smiling, my dad turned to leave; closing the door on his way out.
Draco gave me a curious look and breathed a sigh of relief.
"It's only because you're a Malfoy" I muttered, annoyed "If we are together it means two powerful, pure blood, Death Eater families are connected. Power times two" I held up two fingers and rolled my eyes.
"I don't think that has anything to do with it. Maybe they just like me" Draco retorted, sitting down in the arm chair in front of me.
"Really? Please tell me you arent that dull Draco" I questioned light hearted, "If I was with someone like, lets say, Fred Weasley and my dad caught us doing what you and I were just doing. He'd hex him on the spot. Just because he's a pure blood doesn't mean he's good enough to date his daughter. He's also a Potter follower, on the wrong side according to my father"
Draco was tense.
"Why would you use him as an example? Don't tell me you have a soft spot for a Weasley and last time I checked, you were a Potter follower as well? On the wrong side" Draco glared.
"It was just an example Draco calm down and so what if I agree with what Harry is doing? He's fighting for what is right" And I was going to fight for what was right no matter what it cost.
"Does your father know about this?" He asked, looking down at his hands.
"No, he'd do anything to stop me" I mumbled sadley.
"Then maybe someone should tell him"
"WHAT?! What's wrong with you? What are you saying?" I exclaimed, giving Draco a shocked look.
"What im saying is, it's not right Anna. You could get killed for this and I'll do anything I have to do to protect you" He stood up and paced the room, "Even if it means telling your parents"
I wasn't just shocked, I was upset, unhappy, pissed.
"You have got to be kidding me?" I chuckled, standing up and shaking my head.
I should have known Draco would do something like this, he always has to ruin us.
Always.
"Im serious, Anna. Stay on the right side in all of this or I'll tell your parents where your loyalties lie" He stopped pacing and looked down into my eyes.
If he honestly thought he could threaten me with this, he had another thing coming.
"I will stay on the right side in this, Draco. Sadley for you, it's not the same side you're on. Im a Gryffindor, we are always brave and you don't scare me with your empty threats. Tell my parents, tell them im a blood traitor like the rest of em. I don't care, I don't care what they think and I especially don't care what you think when I know im doing something right and good. As far as im concerned Draco, either you're with me or without me. Your pick" I stood my ground, trying to sound as determined as I looked.
"You know where I stand on this" He stated, neither one of us backing down.
Hearing those words, I took long strides to the door and threw it open. I was heading to my room, the place where my bag was already packed to leave. Footsteps were following close behind me and I didn't need to look back to know who it was.
Walking through the open door of my room, I hurried over to the closet and pulled out the large backpack already full of everything I needed.
"And where do you think you are going? Your parents are going to know you left" Draco gave me a curious look.
"Even though it's none of your damn business, im going to Hermione's. My parents will know where I am because I already assumed you go snitch on me as soon as I left. So, run along Draco. Id hate for them to be uninformed on where their bloodtraiding daughter went" Slinging the backpack over my shoulder, I grabbed my wand from the top of the old wooden dresser.
"You have no idea what you are getting yourself into" His voice rose as he grew more and more frusterated, "You leave, I won't be able to protect you, you won't have me anymore"
"I think I'll be fine"
And with that, I apperated away.
