Y/N's Point Of View
The sun shone in my face waking me up. The curtains were wide open and I groaned, slamming my face in my pillow again in hopes that I would fall asleep again. But I knew I wouldn't so I looked over at the clock and saw that it was six-thirty in the morning. More groaning.
Suddenly, the bedroom door opened and there revealed a shirtless Shawn with a tray of breakfast and balloons tied at the handles.
"Birthday breakfast for the birthday girl." He said, his voice was still husky from his sleep. Signalling he hadn't been awake for long.
"Aw, Shawn." I gushed, sitting up. "You didn't have to."
He set it on my lap, "I know I didn't have to. But I chose to." He told.
I didn't have any expectations for my birthday. I just thought they'd be at least a card and flowers from Shawn's side along with going to university (college) and coming back to watch a movie in the couch together. Then reply to a bunch of "happy birthday" messages and pick up my parents' call to wish me happy birthday too. Clearly not.
He had made pancakes (cinnamon pancakes actually) with syrup and strawberries and hot chocolate with marshmallows (and excessive amounts of whipped cream). My mouth was already watering as I looked at it.
"Damn... you look at that food with more love and appreciation than at me." He admired.
I looked up at him, "Shut up, you." I teased. "You know I love you a lot. Like, a lot a lot."
He smiled, happily, "I know."
I took a first bite of my breakfast and instantly loved it. "This is amazing. What kind of magical sorcery did you use?"
He scratched the back off his head, "My mom taught me."
"Aw, cute." I smiled. "But I love this. Have you had breakfast?"
"No." He responded.
"Well sit here and enjoy this amazing food with me." I ordered.
He laughed and sat up on the bed next to me. I fed him (like a baby) as I also ate. Shawn took the tray away to the kitchen and then came back upstairs. Him and I cuddled close for a few extra minutes embracing each other.
"Do you have plans today?" he asked.
I smiled remembering Lost In Japan. "Studying." I replied. "University and that."
"How much do you study?" he questioned. "I've never seen someone so studious."
"I want to make something of myself one day. And besides, this case study's quiet hard." I told. "What about you?"
"I'll probably go into town for a while and then visit my parents and Aaliyah. What time are you coming back home?" he said.
"Six or seven." I told. "No earlier than that."
"That's perfect." He said. "I have plans for us tonight anyway which I won't cancel."
"What plans?" I asked.
He shrugged, "Plans for what we're doing tonight."
I smiled in response and we left it at that.
Later that night, it had began raining (not a surprise, not gonna lie) so when I was coming back home I ended up wet. Shawn had rung and told me he was home waiting for me. My hair was damp and sticking to my face, neck and clothes. My clothes stuck to my whole body making it as uncomfortable as possible but I could see the apartment block so I kept my head down and continued walking.
By the time I got home, I couldn't wait to rip everything off of me and take a shower. That's exactly what I did as Shawn waited sat on the couch. By the time I came out ready, it was seven. I walked down the stairs in leggings and a hoodie, hair up in a bun and socks on.
"Where are we going?" I asked.
"Where do you want to go?" he asked.
"I thought you had plans tonight?" I said, questioning.
"Do you go plans tonight?" he sang.
I smiled.
"Alright. Just get dressed and we'll go." He told.
"Do I dress formally or casual...?" I asked.
He shrugged, "You could wear a potato sack if you'd like."
I laughed, "So casual?"
He nodded his head.
"All right," I rushed off upstairs again and changed into something more presentable for a date. However, I kept the hoodie but changed my leggings to jeans and slipped on some Adidas trainers. I walked downstairs again and found Shawn on his phone.
He looked up, smiled when he looked me over and picked up his Range Rover's car keys. We drove off down a familiar road to a restaurant. Turned out it was my favourite one (insert restaurant here). He parked the car and we walked inside, sat down and soon ordered.
The whole time I couldn't take the smug smile off my face.
By the time we got home it was around nine so he went to take a shower and I made us tea. He came back and we watched a movie together on the couch until eleven. After that, he looked at the time and went upstairs telling me that he had a surprise.
He came downstairs with a teddy bear with a hoodie of his new tour's merch. It was a life size teddy - huge. I've always wanted a large teddy so this is perfect.
"That's cute." I said, hugging it.
"I can't see you." He told.
I giggled and sat the teddy next to me, "Thank you." I thanked.
"No problem. Oh and also got you (insert favourite flowers here)," he showed me the bouquet.
I gasped and took them in my hands, "Shawn, seriously thank you so much." I thanked, wrapping my arms around his neck to hug him. "You're amazing."
He hugged back, "Thank you, Y/N." He thanked.
At midnight, that's when we went to bed cuddled up with each other and my day was officially over. He turned around so he's facing me and looked me in the eyes. My day was officially over.
"How was your birthday?" he asked.
"One of the best, Shawn." I replied.
He smiled and blush crept onto his cheeks.
I smiled, "I love you."
"I love you too."
A/N: it's my birthday but you get two updates in a week.
