6 - That's what she thinks!

"What do you want??," asked Karen

"what're you talking about mom??"

"You did the dishes, need I say anymore??"

"Well, you do have a point...."

"So, what do u want sweetie??"

"I just wanted to ask you something, just promise me you won't shout and you'll tell me the truth, ok??"

"Sure sweetie, why do u want to ask??"

"Um.., well, her goes nothing, I was in the attic earlier and I found a box..., in the box I found a picture, it had you in it and my grandparents but there were 2 other children in it, you've always told me that you were an only child, were you lying to me?"

"Whatever are you talking about sweetie? I have no idea what you're talking about, why don't you go up to your room and finish up your homework, I'll take you out for dinner", Karen said trying to avoid the question and seemed like she was pretending to not know what Alex was talking about!!

"Alright mom!," Alex replied disappointed.

Alex walked up to her attic without a word, but she was determined to find out what her mom was hiding. She walked up the stairs trying not to make a noise and went and pulled the lever. It opened up and she scurried up into her "Secret Room"

After searching she found a book. A book that said 'Karen's Diary'. She flipped the page and on it was written 'property of Karen Balera Still' Alex was completely puzzled. The look on her face was astonishing!! She has no idea who Karen Balera Still was!! She looked through the next page and saw her mom's face stuck on it.

She took it and quickly went to her room. She told her mom she'll be in her room all night reading a book. Her mom was very pleased at this and said that she wouldn't disturb her responsible loving daughter!!
