11 - I'm adopted??

Yes fellow readers.., you read the title of this chapter right!

"I'm adopted?!!", screamed Alex. She saw what was NOT her birth certificate, but her adoption forms! Alex thought to herself, "so I'm actually NOT a Hilton James?"

Alex snatched her phone from her lamp table and called up her best friend Katelin (Katty). She ringed up Katty and yelled, "Please help me, I'm in an emotional outbreak.., I need you!!", and she started sobbing.

Now this is what you think she would actually happen, but what she really screamed was, "Code Red!!" And Katty replied as to, "I'm already on my way..., don't you worry!"

Katty lived just 1.5 blocks away from Alex so whenever Alex was in need of help or comfort She'd call up Katty and she would hop onto her bike and speed up to Alex's house.....,

Ding dong, that was the sound of Alex's doorbell. Katty had finally reached after precisely 1.2 minutes. Katty barged inside Alex's house, "I'm here!! Now what's the problem from hugs to heartbreak?"

Alex ran downstairs and the sight of her best friend immediately made her feel better! She ran into Katty's arms crying buckets and buckets..., Katty knew this was something major!!

Katty grabbed Alex's hand and took her upstairs to her bed room. She made Alex sit down and then said, "Spill!!"

Alex tried to stop herself from crying and slowly mumbled " I'm *hiccup* ado.., *hiccup* adopt *hiccup* ted...," , She chugged her saliva down and said clearly, "I found, out I'm adopted!!" And then immediately bursted out with tears onto her best friend's lap.

"OMG! when did you find out?! Why didn't you call me earlier?"

"I found out literally 5 minutes ago.., I called you as, *hiccup* as soon as I could stop crying to, *hiccup* to lift my phone up, you're such a great friend that you came, *hiccup* came immediately to comfort me! Thanks.., I thought you wouldn't come because you were baking cookies today." she blurted out.

"Are you mad? Of course I came.., yes I care about cookies, but I care about you way more, which is why...., Katty stopped to show a basket she hid behind her filled with cookies!

"You brought me cookies?"

"Duh! You really thought I wouldn't?"

"I don't know how to thank you!"

"Well, you can start by telling me exactly what happened."

"It's a REALLY long story...,"

"Are you kidding me? We got 12 hours till my curfew..., we got time!"

"Alright...," Alex lifted her face and gave a light smile to her best friend.

"START!"

"K, here are the table of contents:
- Secret room.
- Mom's diary.
- Mom's family drama.
- Fat stack o' sheets.
- adoption certificate!"

So Alex told Katty everything! from the secret room, to her adoption emotional break out..,

Katty slowly understood everything that Alex and her mom had gone through as Alex told her everything and showed Katty her mom's diary....,

"OMG! No wonder you were crying, but where is the part of the whole 'I was adopted?' part that you were talking about?"

Alex pulled put the sheets and showed Katty. "Here!"

"Alex, you have to tell your mom what's going on and how you feel!"

"No way! I can't loose her, not after what happened to my mom!"

"Alexandra Hilton James! You will tell your mom everything and I will make sure of it! Even If you don't do it..., I will!"

"Please don't! And right now, I don't even know who I am!"

"Oh.., Alex, I'm sorry..., I'll support whatever you say!"

"Thanks..., but I guess I'll wait a little longer before I tell mom"
