9 - Files in the drawer

Alex saw something she never thought she would see..., the end of the book!!! She realised she had been reading for hours and she had reached the end of the book.

She felt so clueless....., she thought to herself, "that can't be it! There has to be more. Tomorrow I'll go back into the attic and see if I can find anything,"

She was suddenly feeling extremely tired. She managed to lift her hand and get a hold of her phone from the drawer by the side of the bed. She looked at it and was shocked when she saw the time.., the time was 2:07 a.m!!!! She'd been reading for hours now and she finished the book! Thank the god that the next day was a Saturday.

So she slept through whatever she had left of the night.

Riiiiiiing, Riiiiing, Riiing!! That was the sound of Alex's alarm clock ringing in the mornings to wake Alex up from her long cozy sleeps... well that was usually case, unlike today.....,

Alex lifted her body up from her bed, checked the time on her phone (7:43) and slowly descended down stairs to get a cup of coffee. And saw her mom there rushing to the door to head to work. Her mom came back into the house grabbed the car keys from the kitchen counter and gave her daughter a kiss on the forehead before leaving again and said, "I'll be a little late from work today honey..., don't be up too late!!" "K, mom!"

Karen left the house, and Alex went and locked it shut. You must be wondering where Alex's dad is... well he is in Japan at the moment doing some business "Stuff".

Anyways......,

Alex took her cup of coffee, refreshed herself by taking a shower and headed up to the attic. She searched and searched and found a sheet of paper that said...

To Do list: (Very important)

- Tear pages out of 2nd diary ✔
- put pages in a file ✔
- keep it safe where no one will find it. ✔

Alex was filled with joy...., she was happy that there was more to the a try that she could find. So she went up to her mom's room and searched around because she knew that her mom's room would be the only place anything would be safe!!

She first checked under her bed and there was nothing except an old carpet and a bunch of webs..., next she checked her secret compartment of her mom's cupboard, and NOT to her surprise it wasn't there!! She finally checked in her mom's drawer and there it was..., the files with everything she needed to know!!
