10 - New Diary as New Me!!

Alex opened the file and saw a stack of papers aligned neatly. She stared at it in amazement and thought to herself,"Wow...., that book is fatter than my SAT (examination) practice book is, and her SAT practice book is thicker than her face!!

She grabbed the file and headed up to her room to read them.

Dear Diary,
This is my new diary as Karen Hilton James (new me!!)..., I'm so happy that I've reunited with my 2 siblings. I still can't believe that were literally given up on by my parents......., who am I kidding? They weren't even given a change to be given up on. It seemed like my parents were trying to cover up the fact that they're actually just pure evil. Yes, I did just call my blood related parents, ~ PURE EVIL!! ~ I actually really don't miss my dad..., he was never there for me, he never supported me, he never helped me when I was sad, he didn't give me anything for my birthday, he never got me anything that I wanted...., he was basically just the money source of the family. He never once read me a bedtime sorry nor put me to bed..., I kinda feel like he disliked me, he would tell me ghosts are real, he would scare me all the time, and once I broke my knee in school, so the head mistress called up my dad because I thought the hero of my family would come to rescue me (I was 8 years old). But turns out work is WAAAAAY more important than your own daughter who accidently broke her knee in school! He literally said, "I'm sorry I'm in a metting, I can't come now call her mom." over the phone. I was literally crying in the clinic of the school which deals with minor injuries which can be solved with a bandage or two..., but nope, I had to go big or go home and oh, I don't know, BREAK MY KNEE!!!!!!! And you know what the best part saw? My best friend Sammy called up her mom and told her to come to school because I broke my leg! My friend's mom cared more about me than my own father!! My friend's mom rushed to school along with an ambulance, they took me to the hospital and I had to stay there for an entire MONTH!! When Sammy ' mom called my mom my mom drove here so fast I can't explain how fast she came..., and she apologised for not being there earlier. My mom scolded my dad when she reached home and I felt bad, somehow I felt it was my fault although it wasn't. I do kind of have to admit that I do miss my birth - mom a lot...., she was the one who cared for me, the one who nurtured me, the one who allowed me to be a free bird and express myself..., until she came to the conclusion that she doesn't want me anymore. When my mom mentioned that she was going to dump me..., I almost felt like my heart was going to explode! I was in tears for days after my parents ditched me for a child - free life! Today's entry is a bit long but I have so many mixed emotions that I don't really know anymore if I'm sad that my parents bailed me, upset because she misses her family, disappointed because she never thought that this day would come, or mad because I don't deserve being banished!!

When Alex read that entry, her eyes started to water..., she couldn't handle this anymore!! She felt so sad that her mom had to go through so much, and yet had a child because that's how much she cared. Alex finally realised that she had never actually met her real grandparents although she did consider her step - grandparents her real ones because she never really knew that there was SO MUCH more to her life, well her mom's life.., all she wanted was to know more..., Alex knew that at one point she'll have to tell her mom EVERYTHING, and she really wanted to but she didn't know how to....,

Alex flipped the sheet and saw something that made her gasp then start crying buckets and buckets of tears.
