Alice's Plan

"It's ... nice to see you again," said Subaru

"I wish the situation was as pleasant," Alice replied as she knelt down and picked up the two halves of the hat "I'm sorry about your hat,"

"It ... it was just a hat," he replied

"So ... you're Alice?" Yume said, trying to smile even a little "It's nice to meet you, I'm Yume, Subaru told me about you a few times,"

Alice turned Yume and looked down at her hand. Alice's eyes widened, she ran over and grabbed the microphone out of Yume's hand. "Where did you get this?" She asked

"Uh, the microphone?" Yume asked "It was in the hat, it was the only thing I could grab -"

Alice turned to Subaru "You had this the whole time?!!!" She almost seemed angry.

"I have a lot of things in there - I mean - I did have things in there," he stuttered

"Ugh!" At first it looked like she might explode, then Alice took a breath, inhaled, exhaled. "It might be for the best, I wouldn't have learned about Elza's plan otherwise,"

"And what is her plan?" Yume asked

"She wants to turn Contefee into her own jewelry box so to speak," she explained "Using her act as Home the Good, she's been brain washing everyone bit by bit. Tonight's concert she'll turn the entire country into her zombie followers. I found out about it while I tried to get out of here on my own," Alice glared at Subaru "No thanks to you,"

"... my bad,"

"Everyone will be at her comand, I've been helpless to stop it, but I had thought that if we can get the Wonderlanders together, we might be able to stop her,"

"You mean, like, an army?" Subaru asked

"Yes," Alice replied

"But that's crazy, we don't fight,"

"Really? Cause that fight with Elza Forte puts a few rabbit holes in that statement,"

"Could you two please not fight?" Yume begged "An army ... that isn't going to stop Elza,"

"I know," said Alice

"But you said -" Subaru started

"I said I thought that is what we needed," she continued "I've seen I was wrong, there is another way to stop her. And it starts with this microphone," Alice held up the microphone she took from Yume.

"Why is that so special?" Yume asked "It's just a microphone. I thought we were trying to stop Home - I mean - Elza from singing,"

"This isn't any old microphone, this is the Crystal Mic. And Elza won't be singing into this, I will,"

"You?" Yume and Subaru said in unison

"This magic is very special, if the right song is sung then it should not only stop Elza's plan, but also take me back home,"

"Home?" Yume echoed

"Yes," Alice replied "You see, I'm not from Contefee, I'm from ... Well, somewhere else,"

"Me too!" Yume exclaimed

"Huh?"

"You're saying all I had to do was sing into this mic and I would have gone home?" 

"Yes,"

"Ugh, we had the answer with us all along, literally," said Subaru

"Meh, could have been worse," Alice said with a shrug "But if that's the case then we'll need to sing into this mic together,"
