Happily Ever After

"Where am I?" Yume thought. At least, she thought she thought it. Her thoughts didn't normally echo. "Am I ... dead?"

"No," a voice replied

Yume didn't know the voice, but it was a voice she remembered but couldn't remember from where. It was neither a mans voice nor a woman's voice. It was as kind as it was terrifying. "Okay, then where am I?" she asked

"The space between," the voice answered

"The space between where?"

"Heaven and Earth,"

"Whoa. So Contefee was ... heaven?" Yume asked

"No,"

"Then it was ... earth. But that stuff doesn't happen on earth," she said

"Maybe not, but it does in your dreams," the voice said

"A dream? It was all ... a dream?"

"Are you upset?"

"A little," Yume admitted "But at the same time kind of ... relieved. then where am I going now?"

"You're going to wake up," said the voice

"Do I have to?"

"No, you could go back to Contefee and stay as long as you want," the voice told her

"Really?"

"Of course. But you should know, you're friends will miss you while you're away,"

Then Yume could hear someone calling her name. "Yume ..." it sounded almost like -

"Laura," she said

"They're worried for you," said the voice "Do you still want to stay in Contefee,"

"Erm ... no," Yume shook her head "I want to go home!"

"Really?"

"Yes really!"

"Well then, you're friends are that way," the voice couldn't point anywhere, it had no body, but she knew where to go, so she chased after it.

"Yume ..."

"Mahiru," she said

"Yume ..."

"Ako,"

"Yume ..."

Yume's eyes welded up with tears, she ran faster and faster. "You guys!" then she walked into a blinding light and opened her eyes.

"Guys!" Yume sat up with a start and suddenly banged heads with someone.

"OUCH!!!" they cried

"Hey, nice going Boiled Octopus," said Subaru "Now I want you to go back into that coma,"

"Coma?"

"Yume!!" Laura wrapped her arms around her friend, then Mahiru, and then Ako.

"You're alright!" they cried

"Guys ... I'm home," she said "B-but, what happened?"

"You don't remember?" Nozomu asked

"No,"

"Well you were running," said Kanata "We were all right behind you, but then you fell and hurt your head,"

"You weren't really in a coma though," said Asahi "It's only been a few hours,"

"Hours!?!" Yume cried "No, I've been away for days and days! I went through Wonderland, Neverland, Sherwood Forest, even the deserts of Agraba so I could come back home! I've been gone for weeks!"

They all blinked then laughed.

"I think you lost a few marbles during the blow to the head," said Mahiru

"Probably!" Yume cried

"Yume, you have a fever," said Ako "Maybe you should lay back in bed -"

"But I just got here,"

"Sleep!" Everyone cried

"Oh, okay," Yume laid back in bed "But can I say something first?"

"Sure," Subaru said with a shrug

"I love you guys!"
