After I left the odd building with jack, Eraserhead and two other people we took a ride to a hospital and we had to wait so looong...

"Red, its time to go in..." Jack told me softly with a worried expression.

"Fine..." I grunted as I got up and went into the check up room.

Jack POV

Sure hope its nothing to serious... I thought anxiously pulling at the sleeves of my new hoodie.

"What's got you so worked up about this anyway? He Seemed fine to me!" Present mic, a hero with gravity hating hair, asked. Wonder if he uses concrete as hair gel.

"Four years of spending every waking moment in perpetual agony tends to... Mess your mind up. My parents studied things like that and I remember talking to them about dissociative identity disorder, where the mind splits to keep at least part of it sane. Red was showing signs of that when he didn't even think he was being attacked and forgot what had happened." I explained sighing and clutching my arm.

"What did happen?" Present Mic asked curiously.

Curiosity killed the cat and if he isn't careful he'll be the cat and Red the curiosity... "It would be best to see for yourself..." I muttered. After a few minutes of waiting we was called in.

When I entered there was Red shouting and breaking things while in an isolated room with one sided glass so we could see him but not vice versa.

"I gave him a test sheet that would likely increase his stress to see if there was any changes and well..." The doctor gestured toward Red who threw a pencil threw the window at insane speed but I somehow caught it an inch from my face before I had even processed it.

"Talk about close call..." I muttered tiredly. "Just do whatever I give up, he's yours until you find out how to at least get him from that back to normal. I need some sleep..." I then took a nap on a nearby chair.

Red POV 10 minuets later

The check up was odd, it was just a small test and we was done. I wanted to go home but even I knew that wasn't happening any time soon. They betrayed us, they threw us in a lab like rats! Why? Was it because we was quirkless? Did they not love us? What happened to my sister!? I sat in my chair eyes full of worry and heart full of sadness.

"Do you have somewhere to stay?" Eraserhead asked sighing rubbing his eyes.

I shook my head and pulled my knees to my chest. "Parents left us in the lab to die for their own safety, trapped like dogs at the pound..." I was almost crying, I felt like if I told him what happened differently I would have lost it. I really was holding onto my sanity by a thread. "Four years... I must be 10 at least... Jack was lucky, he was asleep or high on pain killers while I was forced to feel everything see everything. Maybe it was their intention to make me insane, a villain... In that case I have to be a hero! I will make them see their lab experiment deny them! Can you help me?" I ranted on then turned to Eraserhead who was listening to every detail.

"If you can care for him I'll make sure you get benefit funding and its only until we can find a suitable living relative." The doctor looked pleadingly to Eraserhead.

Eraserhead sighed deeply before taking a whole ten minuets of awkward silence to think. "Fine... I'm not usually first choice for this kind of thing but... I'll do it..." Eraserhead looked irritated but more tired then anything. "If that's everything I'll get going."

"If you ever need any help just ask Jack or me. Just try to bare with him until he stabilises and thank you, you hero's really know no bounds to helping people do you?" The doctor let out a tired laugh as I left with Jack and Eraserhead.

"So... Where are we going?" I asked practically dragging a half asleep jack.

"We're going home, I'm too tired to deal with much else and we still have a lot more to do to get you two settled in." Eraserhead mono toned walking through the surprisingly empty streets. Its day but there's not a soul in sight!

"Is it far? My legs are tired... And I haven't used a bed in years." I sighed rubbing my back.

"Its not to far just a two hour walk." Eraserhead answered casually.

"Two hours..." Both me and Jack groaned painfully as we began to slouch in annoyance.
