We start out small
Fearless and free
We start out tall
Without no worries
Everything is new
And everything is fresh
Life's an adventure
Life is the best
Our worries are little
And we aren't afraid
Of meeting new people
And making our way
But as we grow taller
Our minds become larger
Full of the world
Things become harder
No more is life simple
When heartbreak begins
Each day becomes a struggle
With our nerves wearing thin
But this is just the beginning
My life has just started
I realize I'm growing up
And the past has departed
I know there'll be bad days
But there's also the good
And I've learned to be grateful
For things that I should.
