Is there a man
Out in the world
Who knows the way I feel?
Or does he only
Exist in books
And worlds
That aren't even real
Is he lost out in the depths
Of scattered dreams
And thoughts?
Or forgotten between
The oceans
Of time and broken hearts?
I'd like to think
There is a man
Who deeply understands
What it means to live in worlds
That we hold inside our hands
I'd like to think
There is a man
Who wouldn't break my heart
He'd stand by me through
Troubled times
And not be torn apart
I'd like to think there is
A man
Just like I said above
Yet like most everyone
I'm impatient
When it comes to love
Where are you
Oh darling of mine?
Where are you
In this great wide blue?
Are you across the
Sea
Are you longing for me
As I am for you?
