PART 6:

Kendall's POV:

I felt really bad for blowing Mia off like that. I have no chemistry project. I-I just couldn't face her with feelings that emerged. My heart says one thing but my mind says another. Go after her and tell her you love her! But my mind fights back. If you tell her and she doesn't feel the same way. Everything will be over! When I was little my momma would say follow your heart; and that's what I decided to do now. I slipped on torn beat up black vans. I was descending the stair case when momma stopped me.

"Where do you think your going?"

"Over to Mia's. I need to apologize for rushing her out the window."

"Did you chicken out again?" Her hands laying on her hips lightly.

"Momma!"

"Ok I'm sorry."

"I'll be back later." I stated giving her a quick kiss on the cheek.

I slipped on my red hoodie. Even though it is early spring, it's a bit nippy. My feet crunched on the freshly cut grass. Once I got up to the front porch I searched for the spear keys. Flower pot, that's right. My arm reached into the growing tulips. Success! I opened the heavy dark oak front door, making my way in. No sound. Just silence. I feel as if I'm in a mini scavenger hunt. Not in the living room, or the kitchen. It figures she wasn't downstairs. I began my walk up stairs, reaching the second level. My feet creaked on wooden floor boards. Mr. and Mrs. Hendrickson still never replaced the floor after the 18 years they've been here. I laughed. I turned down the left hallway, the one leading to her room. My head pokes through the door frame, my eyes scanning the room like a submarine scanning for life on the ocean floor. Nope. I stepped into her quirky little room. Purple walls, posters hung around the room, little antique items, flowers hung delicately by baskets on the wall. My gaze turned to her personal bathroom.

"M-Mia?"
