Chapter 7:

Kendall's POV:

There she was. Just a white ghostly body on the floor, blood surrounding her wrists.

"No no no no no!"

My knees dropped to the cold tile floor. The color started to drain from my face. My face lowered to her chest. a shallow heartbeat. My fingers ran up her smooth arm. They were just stone cold now.

"Mia wake up." I pleaded.

No response. My mind started racing. Did I do this? Did I cause her to cut? Did I lose my one true love? Tears brimmed my eyes. Why? Why must I be the one that causes bad things to happen. My eyes stayed locked on her, while I fumbled with my pocket. My fingers find my phone. I dial the only number that would save her.

"Please come quick! She's dying!" I cry into the phone.

I threw my phone onto the floor, not caring if it shatters. I pulled the fragile body onto my lap. She lighter than normal. Even though she's dying, she still beautiful.

"M-Mia. You probably can't hear me. But that doesn't matter. The ambulance are coming soon, please stay with me. Don't go off to heaven. It's not your time yet. You still have time here, with me. Please don't die on me. I love you."

My lips kissed the stone cold forehead of my best friend. The tears ran down my warm face. I lift my head to face the ceiling. Praying was the only thing that would help calm my nerves. Why her? God why are you putting her through this? If anything take me!

I could hear the sirens outside the house.

"Your safe, I hope." I whispered to her sound blocking ear.

Paramedics came bursting through the door. They pushed me back out the door.

"We have to get her to the hospital!", one lady yelled.

They picked her up, as if she was a piece of glass. We ran through the house, and out to the ambulance truck. I hopped in the back with them. All of a sudden they started hooking her up with machines. Breathing tubes. Anything. We arrived at the hospital. They rushed her inside, while I followed behind. My feet quickened at the pace they were running, until I was stopped by two nurses.

"Sir you can't go back there."

"But that's my friend." I snapped.

"Your going to have to wait out here, until we allow you to go back there." They held me back.

The tear flowed from my face, my attempt to break free, was useless. The image of her face came into my mind.

"Stay strong." I whispered.
