After another nap in Mr. Barnes boring chemistry, I got ready to leave as the bell rang.
"Ms. Morris," Mr. Barnes called.
I sighed dramatically and turned around to face him. "What now?"
His face was serious and even a little angry. "Just because you are rich and everyone bends over backwards for you doesn't mean that you're allowed to sleep in my classroom."
I tilted my head and took a step closer to him. "Oh, but Mr. Barnes, it absolutely does." I smiled and spun around from his shocked face.
It was Friday, and that night was the spectacular party. Perhaps Klyde would be there too. That would make my time worth while.
Our heels clacked on the pavement as Levy and I walked professionally down the sidewalk in our tight dresses. We stopped in front of the house and observed every little detail. Every light was on and every table was invaded with a bowl of suspiciously strong tasting punch. There were pretzels, chex mix, and a big plate of brownies for snacks. As we walked into the perimeter, we discovered that there was barely any room for people to stand- let alone dance.
It didn't stop them though.
"Wow," Levy said in awe. She smiled widely and turned to look at me. " I love parties!"
We both laughed and quickly moved to join everyone who was already wasted. Levy and I danced our hearts out. Our hips swayed with the music and our hair tumbled out of its meticulously placed pins. We didn't care. We only had four drinks and we hadn't planned on stopping.
"Hey," a deep, familiar voiced greeted behind me.
I whirled with a smile and faced Klyde. "Hey." I echoed. "Wanna dance?"
I moved to step back and make him come towards me, but he caught my wrist and pulled me towards him until I was tightly pressed against his body.
He grinned. "I thought you'd never ask."
Before I could respond, he was spinning me off my feet and I only had time to give Levy a wide smile before she was lost from my sight.
Klyde was a really good dancer. I thought of it as a cat and mouse game. Whenever I got close to him, he'd send me away spinning again making me want him even more than the last time.
Right when I thought I'd collapse from the stitch in my side from swaying my hips, Klyde stopped me and pulled me close, so close, that I felt his breath mingle with mine. His hand slid to my lower back, and crept even lower. "Wanna get out of here?" His husky voice tickled my ear.
I stepped to my tip toes and I put my mouth to his ear. "I thought you'd never ask," I whispered.
We sped though the throng of people, weaving in and out as fast as could. Klyde and I headed up the stairs where less people were partying. He threw open a random door and it was luckily empty wit just a bed and a few pieces of furniture.
I followed him inside, and, almost immediately, he pressed his mouth firmly against mine. Kicking the door shut, he wrapped his arms against my waist and carried me over to the bed. His kisses were hard and impatient- rough, even. His body was warm over mine, and his hands explored my skin beneath the fabric up to my stomach. Our breaths evolved into short gasps, and my hands removed his shirt. Hard muscle was found beneath the thin piece of fabric. I traced my fingers around his stomach making his become more ecstatic. He moved to straddle my hips and-
