*Draco*

I watched this girl, Kelsey, as she stared at me. She was wearing pants that had holes in them and a black shirt. She noticed me staring and crossed her arms over her chest. The silver bracelets on her wrists made a small noise as they clashed together.

"What?" She asked, suddenly self conscious.

"Nothing. So what are we supposed to be doing?" I asked.

"Right, well, we have English right now. Come with me." She lead me to a classroom near the end of the hall.

"Mr. Chev, this is Draco Malfoy. He's an exchange student who's going to be here for a while." she introduced me. Twenty pairs of eyes watched me closely, curious.

"Welcome, Mr. Malfoy. Why don't you tell the class a little about yourself?" The teacher smiled warmly. Disgusting.

Tell you something about myself? Like what? I have more power than you could possibly imagine? I'm a wizard? You muggles disgust me?

"Uh, well, I'm from England. I went to boarding school. I'm sixteen." I shot off some random facts just to get him to shut up.

I took a seat in the back of the room next to Kelsey. The blonde girl on my other side tapped my shoulder. "Is your hair natural or did you bleach it?" she asked.

"My hair has always been this color, you stupid git." I snapped at her. She looked away, seeming slightly frightened.

The rest of the day dragged on like that. Stupid questions from stupid muggles. I could not believe that I was chosen to waste an entire semester in this wastelnd of ignorance. What could I possibly learn from these muggles?

"Hey, do you need a ride home?" Kelsey asked me.

Just then, I realized that I had no way of getting back to the little apartment Dumbledore set up for me since I was not about to get in one of those yellow metal death traps.

"Yes." I replied shortly.

"Soo, it must be weird driving on the other side of the road." She said, trying to force a conversation as she started driving. I did not answer. I did not look at her. She turned on the car's radio.

"I'm holding out for a hero til the end of the night." Kelsey sang along softly. I laughed. If she wanted a hero, she was going to have to look much farther because I was no hero.

"Hey, Draco?" She asked me.

"What?"

"How come your school wanted to send an exchange student but not recieve one? Because usually, you get what you give." She said, looking between her GPS, the road, and me.

"I haven't the sightest clue." I replied. I reached down to my bag and placed a hand on my wand, just to make sure it was still safe. They had let me keep it, in case of emergencies. I was going to use it to mess with this muggle, however.

"Wingardium Leviosa." I whispered, causing the car to lift off the road, just a little.

"Whoa! I'm sorry it's so bumpy. My car is usually a lot smoother than this." She looked concerned. I dropped the car and released my wand.

Finally, she pulled over next to the building.

"Do you want me to come in with you?" She asked when I did not make a move to get out.

I did not want that at all. "Sure." I answered, surprising myself.

Kelsey climbed out of the car and began walking in with me. We got to my room and were greeted by my magnificent owl.

"Dude! Cool bird! Is that like a common pet in England?" She asked excitedly.

"It's an owl. And I don't think it's as common in all of England as it is where I come from." I stepped around her question carefully.

Kelsey did not stay long. Once she left, I sighed. I took off my sweater. Then, for what seemed like forever, I stared at the Dark Mark on my arm, left over from the war. For the first time in a long time, it was burning.
