Lance sat in His and Keith's apartment and stared at the tv, their dogs Red and Blue sitting with him on the couch. He was binge-watching the entire series of The Office for the fifteenth time that month. He had nothing better to do on his Saturdays anymore; Keith was in the military for another three months, so he couldn't cuddle or kiss or go on dates with him. He could only Skype him every other day, and he'd Skyped him yesterday. Keith had seemed happier than he had been in days prior to that call, but Lance thought nothing of it and continued on with his call. When he woke up the next morning, he saw his screen was black and his phone had a message from Keith on it.

Sleep well, baby. I'll see you soon❤️

Lance reread the text and smiled, knowing he'd see his boyfriend in a few months. It made him happy but sad at the same time. He missed Keith so much and was so ecstatic that he was coming home, but he was still worried. Anything could happen in three months. He could be captured like Shiro, or get hurt, or he could-
Lance's thoughts were cut off by a loud knocking at the door. Red and Blue ran to the door and both started barking loudly, their tails wagging rapidly.
"Hey, hey back, you two. It's just the doorbell." Lance said to the two, who ran back and started playing with each other in the living room with a rope. Lance smiled as he turned back to the door. He opened it and looked down to find a small box. There was a note written on it.

"Happy anniversary, Sharpshooter. Look up." Lance followed the instructions and looked up. He nearly fell over when he did. In front of him was a man with pale skin, Raven hair, a military uniform on, and the most amazing purple eyes Lance had ever seen.

It was Keith.

Lance felt hot tears roll down his face as he attacked Keith with a hug. He felt him flinch slightly, but Keith quickly eased into the hug, crying as well.

He was home.

Lance pushed back and beamed at the Korean. He had a scar on his right cheek, just like on their Skype calls for the last few months, but other than that, he looked almost exactly the same as when he left. Keith's tear-stained face beamed up at Lance, his eyes holding a galaxy of joy, yet also pain and suffering.
Lance didn't notice at first.
"What are you doing here, baby? I thought you were coming back in three months?" Lance said smiling, rubbing Keith's cheek with his thumb. Keith held Lance's hand on his face.
"They didn't need me in service anymore and they sent me home early. I'm here to stay, baby doll." Keith smiled. Lance laughed and lifted Keith into the air, hugging him tight until he felt Keith pushing away. Lance put him down and saw a brief look of terror in Keith's eyes before Joy returned.
"Hey, let's not crush Keith's lungs the day he gets back, okay?" Keith laughed. Lance chuckled.
"Of course. I love you so much." Lance said as he kissed Keith passionately. Keith returned the kiss, loving every second of the long and passionate kiss.
He was so glad to be home, he felt like he was on cloud nine.

But the big secret was gonna be let out soon enough.

Lance had brought everyone over for a sort of "Welcome Home" party for Keith. Keith said it wasn't necessary, an anxious look on his face, but Lance insisted. Lance knew that Keith was never big on large social gatherings, but Lance knew his family and their friends would want to see Keith home again. They all came over about two hours after Keith got home. Keith was still in his military uniform when people started arriving, and the first one to show up was Shiro and Matt. Shiro opened the door and almost collapsed had Matt not been there. His eyes were full of tears as he hugged his baby brother.
"You scared the living crap outta me." Shiro muttered into Keith's shoulder. The two brothers cried happily for a few minutes before Keith dragged Shiro over to the corner, out of range from Lance and Matt's hearing range. Lance couldn't hear what exactly they were saying, but Shiro's expressions went from overjoyed to sorrow, then genuine concern before he pulled Keith into an embrace. When the two separated, Shiro had a wet stain on his Shirt and Keith was wiping his face. Lance couldn't see it, but he assumed Keith was crying. He was about to ask what was happening when they heard more people come. Keith hid in the bathroom like they'd planned, and soon enough everyone came. Lance kept them gathered in the Living room, waiting for them to settle before telling them.
"Okay, now you're all probably wondering why I called you here." He said in a dramatic tone.
"No shit, Sherlock." Pidge said loudly. That got a laugh out of everyone.
"Well I am going to answer. But first, you all need to close your eyes." Everyone followed and Lance hurriedly signaled for Keith to come out. The Korean boy snuck out of the bathroom with ease and stood behind lance shyly.
"Okay, you can all open your eyes now!" Everyone's eyes opened and Keith was now in their vision. A rouse of joyful shrieks were heard in the apartment as Pidge practically tackled the poor boy in a hug, leaping over the couch and clinging to him like a monkey. Keith hugged the crying Pidge in his arms as everyone surrounded him. He started to feel his anxiety creep up on him, but he took a deep breath and just let it pass. They all laughed and joked for an hour until Lance put on a movie. They sat around the tv as Lance put on "Captain America: Winter  Solider" and went back to cuddle with Keith. When the Highway Fight scene started, Keith went pale. There were so many gun shots that it triggered Keith.

He was suddenly back on the field, guns firing rapidly. There was so much blood. So much screaming and some people crying.
Make it stop...
Every time a gun would go off red stained the ground.
Make it stop...
The dead bodies of his friends lie around him, dark red staining their uniforms, their cold lifeless eyes staring at the sky.
Make it stop...!
The cut on Keith's arm is nothing compared to the huge gashes of the others in their stomachs, chests, heads-

"M-MAKE IT STOP!!!" Keith screamed. He slammed his hands over his ears and he gripped his hair tight, sealing his eyes shut.
"-eith, hey hey hey. It's okay, you're no- there anymo-" Shiro's voice kept cutting in and out of Keith's hearing. Keith didn't believe he was really there, so he backed away, terrified.
"L-LEAVE ME A-ALONE!!!! I-I T-TRIED T-TO S-SAVE THEM!!!" Keith screamed at the top of his lungs as a pair of hands grabbed his wrists.
"Keith, look at me! You aren't there anymore." Keith's eyes flew open and stared into Shiro and Lance's, one of the two on either side of him.
"You aren't there, Keith," Shiro said. "당신은 거기 더 이상, 아키라. 나, 시로, 당신의 동생, 그리고 랜스, 당신의 남자 친구와 함께 아파트에 있어. 그것은 좋아, 동생입니다. 당신은 아무것도 두려워." Keith's breathing was slowly getting steadier and calmer. Keith listened to Shiro talking to him in Keith's native language (Korean), speaking soothing words to him as Keith calmed down. The Korean boy blinked slowly as he breathed out, opening his eyes and saw Lance and Shiro gently smiling at him.
"Hey, baby, are you with us?" Lance asked. Keith looked at the two of them with wild eyes, before they glazed over and tears fell rapidly from them and Keith started bawling, completely breaking down in front of Lance and Shiro.
"I-I'm s-so sorry..." He silently sobbed into his hand. He heard Lance and Shiro gasp quietly before he was engulfed by a hug on either side of him. He opened his eyes to find he was in the middle of a Shiro-And-Lance-Hug sandwich.
"Baby, you have nothing to be sorry for. I shouldn't have put that movie on, especially since you just got out of the war. If anything, I'm the one who should be apologizing." Lance whispered into Keith's ear. Keith cried quietly as Lance and Shiro soothed him until the exhaustion effect of the aftermath kicked in, and within minutes, Keith was out. Shiro helped Lance lift Keith onto his back and carried him out to the living room. The group made room on the couch for the two, having Keith sleeping on top of Lance. Pidge snapped a few pictures and Lance flipped them off at one point, laughing while he stroked Keith's hair. He pecked the top of his head and he too fell asleep. He'd ask Keith about what to do next time that happens and his triggers tomorrow.

Needless to say, they changed the movie to a musical (West Side Story, to be more specific)

So the Korean bit is supposed to translate to "You aren't there anymore, Akira. You're in your apartment with me, Shiro, your brother, and Lance, your boyfriend. It's okay, baby brother. You have nothing to be afraid of." If you speak Korean and that's not what it translates to, please tell me and I'll fix it. Thanks!
