I was getting kind of nervous now, I heard footsteps approaching the door. It opened and there was my brother. "Chloe! You came! And this is?" He asked "Uh, Colson Baker, you know, from high school," I said My brother looked shocked "Oh, yeah. Good to see you again," he said to Kells, having to look up in order to make eye contact. "Well, everyone's just through here so come in," We walked through his house (key word there, house) and Kells put his arm around me "Yo," I said when we walked into the room my family and Isobel were sat in. "Chloe, that's a very, fitted dress," Isobel said "This bitch," I whispered to Kells "Yes, well turtlenecks in May aren't everyone's favourite trend," "I'm Colson, Chloe's boyfriend. Mr and Mrs Hale, nice to see you again," "Oh, the high school boy," my dad said I looked at him "Dad." "Okay food is ready so," My brother said
Everyone was sitting at the dinner table, and I wanted to kill myself. We were definitely leaving as soon as we could "So, Colson what do you do for a living?" My dad asked "I'm an entertainer," "You're dating a stripper?!" My dad exclaimed "He's not a stripper! He's a rapper and actor, thank you very much," I replied, accidentally kicking my dad under the table "Oh okay. How is your dad doing?" My own father pried. I watched Kells expression turn to stone "Fine," I could hear in his voice he was uncomfortable "And your mother?" Isobel asked. I wanted to kill that bitch. I knew I had to do something "Babe! We only paid the babysitter until 10 and it's already 9:45! Sorry we have to go but it was nice seeing you all," I interrupted. Thankfully, Kells understood that I was buying him a way out and followed me to my car.
"I'm so sorry," I said once we were sat down inside my small silver ford. "It's fine," Kells said, he didn't look at me, but I could see his eyes were shining. "I'm sorry about Isobel, and my dad. And I will never take you to another shitty family dinner like that again," He didn't reply. I knew that he was upset. I decided to just leave him alone for a bit. When we got back to the house, Cas was asleep and Kells went upstairs immediately. I sat downstairs for a while, drinking a glass of wine, that turned into two glasses, which turned into a bottle. I was about to open my second when I heard someone coming down the steps. Kells. "Pour me a glass," I poured two and sat on the sofa next to him. "What were you doing up there?" I asked "Just thinking, you know. Maybe I should reach out to my dad, because he tried. I know he did but some stuff just got in the way and it didn't work out," "Well I'll support you in whatever choices you make because I just want you to be happy," "Thank you. I'm going to go to bed, you know because of my audition tomorrow. Actually could you take Cas to school? I can go get her but I need to head out to Cincinnati at like 7 in the morning," "Yeah sure," "Thank you so much, you're a lifesaver," Kells said to me before walking up the stairs "Kells," I said unexpectedly "Yeah?" "I love you," He smiled "I love you too," Okurrrr.
