seven

The next morning, my alarm woke me up. I was confused as to why I was up at 7:30 in the morning but then remembered I was taking Casie to school. Okay, first step is to wake her up and then get her breakfast.

I headed into her room and gently said "Cas, wake up,"
Her little face scrunched up before she opened her eyes and beamed when she saw me "Hello,"
"Hello, what do you want for breakfast?" I asked her
"Hmmm, bagel?"
"PBJ?" Cas nodded as answer "Okay now you get dressed whilst I make that for you and come downstairs when you're done,"

I *successfully* made Casie her bagel, remembered her lunch and got her to school on time. And it was great. I didn't have any plans so decided to text Liv and see if she was free

I let myself in to her apartment (best friend privileges such as having a key) and shouted her name
"Chloe! Hun we need to have a long conversation about your new boyfriend. And the fact he's a rapper. And how you were on the daily mail snapchat," she said. Walking out of her bedroom
"Ask away,"
"How did we never hear of him?"
"I have no idea. But his music is great, you should listen to it,"
"I did. I did a full google search on him actually. But anyway, are you guys serious? Like is this just chill or could it turn into something,"
"Well we may have exchanged I love yous," I said with a wink
"Okay so you're basically getting married. Does his kid like you?"
"I hope so. I took her to school this morning,"
"Wait seriously?"
"Seriously?"
"This time next week you'll be engaged and carrying his next child," Liv joked
"Ha ha, very funny. Anyway how are things with you and Slim?"
"Eh, it's okay. I don't know he just feels more like a dude I sleep with then someone I'm dating," she replied
"Okay when you find the right guy, dating isn't awful,"
"Yeah yeah. You sound like my mom,"
"Ugh don't talk to me about moms right now," I rolled my eyes
"Family dinner?" Liv asked sympathetically. She knew all about my deep hatred for my entire family.
"Family dinner from hell," I responded
"We won't go into that then. Can we go get our nails done? I'm in need of a new set,"
"Well I lost my job so I can't exactly afford nails right now," I complained. To be fair it was my own fault for not showing up to any shifts
"I'll pay. Staying in college has its perks," she winked
"Ah thank you so much!"
"No problem, now let's go get a mani pedi,"

We headed to our favourite nail place, run by a girl called Carmen. Carmen was Liv's roommate in college, and fucking incredible. She had long red hair, blue eyes and adorable freckles, however she covered them with foundation most of the time. On the side of her neck, she had a tiny heart tattoo, her twin sister had the same thing but on the other side of her neck. She was one of the *rare* successful friends I had, but trust me, that girl knew how to party. As she did my nails, we gossiped until I got a text from Kells
Hey when u coming back?
"Wait Kells?" Carmen asked
"Yeah, why?"
"Like Machine Gun Kelly?" She asked, stunned. I nodded in reply "What the fuck? How do you have his number? I'm literally obsessed with him,"
"You're going to flip your shit when I tell you this then. He's my boyfriend,"
"What?!" She exclaimed "You're going out with him? How? What. Oh my god. Wait I need details,"
"We went to high school together, Liv met his best friend a couple months ago and he said if we came to some party this guy Kells would give us free weed and here we are," I answered
"Have you met his kid?"
Liv leaned over to join our conversation "She took his kid to school this morning,"

After I'd had my nails done (matte black, as per usual) I drove back to Kells' place. The route was now embedded in my brain and I didn't need any phone to tell me where to go. I got there and he opened the door before I'd even locked my car door. I smiled and I was pretty sure I saw him smile back. I got inside and asked about his audition
"Yeah it went pretty well I think. Ooh you got your nails done. I started writing some shit when I got back here. Haven't got a beat yet but what do you think of the lyrics?" He asked me before handing me a sheet of paper. I read it carefully, and it was incredible
"Kells this is amazing!"
He smiled "You think so?"
"Fuck yeah!"
"Thanks. I gotta send it down to the studio, you know, figure out a beat and shit. Get the boys together, all that good stuff,"
"Yep." He said. We sat in silence for a second, until Kells said "I'm going to kiss you now,"
