thirty nine (the end)

3 years later:
Ryan was running around the living room, Cooper following behind. For some reason, the dog had taken an instant liking to Ryan, much to Casie's dismay. Ryan was the spitting image of his father, golden hair and piercing blue eyes. I'd fallen in love with him the second I'd held him; and Colson was thrilled to have a son. I heard the door open.
"Daddy!" Ryan said and ran to the door. Kells scooped him up in his arms
"What is this? What is this? Why do you look even more grown up now then when I left this morning?" He said. Ryan giggled and Kells put him down "And where is my daughter?"
"I'm in the bathroom, don't come in,"
"And finally, my beautiful wife," He said, giving me a kiss
"Hi,"
"Hi,"
I fell in love with him more and more every day.
"Cas! You need to take Cooper out,"
"But it's so cold," She complained. Part of the deal with the dog was that Casie had to take him outside to do his business, feed him and come on every single dog walk. She did it most of the time, but of course there were times like this where she just didn't want to.
"Casie Colson Baker come here," Kells said, Casie emerged from the stairs "Take your dog out to do its business then you can both come back inside,"
"Fine. But can you make me hot cocoa?"
Kells rolled his eyes "Yes,"

It was later on that evening, and Casie and Ryan were curled up on the couch, watching Shrek together. I was in the kitchen, putting away colouring books and Lego and all the other toys our house was filled with these days. Kells came up behind me and gave me a hug
"I love you,"
"I love you too," I replied, turning around so we were facing each other and draping my arms on his shoulders. He gave me a gentle kiss, I could feel him smiling as he did so
"I'm so happy that I found you again,"
"We really were destiny," I joked
"Yeah," he laughed "Guess all those doodles of Chloe and Colson forever came true,"
"They did,"

And that was the end! I loved writing this and I'm so glad that seemingly a lot of people enjoyed it. Let me know if you want me to write a sequel/another fan fiction but until then, i love u all so much, EST forever XX🥀
