<segment four starting>

"Hurry up!" yelled Daehwi. You were currently trying to catch up with him, Jihoon and Woojin. They had planned something new for today. Yesterday you didn't know why, but you had a pretty good feeling that you would be spending most of the days in different groups with them. And they proved you right when you asked this morning.

"I'm running, okay?!" You weren't exactly running. But you weren't very content on spending energy just yet. You had a good feeling whatever they had planned was going to be very tiring. "What did you guys drag me along to do today?"

Woojin happily smiled and answered, "baseball." Oh great. Sports. You weren't that athletic but hopefully they wouldn't take the game too seriously.

They all stopped walking and started to set up in an empty dirt-ground spot. Daehwi dragged a bench to the side while Jihoon and Woojin set up the tee-ball set. You felt clueless as to what to do until Woojin asked, "Y/n can you get the shopping cart with the baseballs near the trees please?" You were happy to help them set up even though you weren't as excited to play the game.

Once you brought over the cart, you took a seat on the small bench next to Daewhi while Woojin pulled out two baseball bats― handing one to Jihoon, and keeping the other for himself. "Are all of you ready to play?"

Keeping quiet, you didn't say anything at all while the others cheered. "Don't worry Y/n, we're not the kind of group that can play baseball seriously." Daehwi whispered in your ear. After hearing this you felt better.

"Bet I can hit the ball further than you." Woojin informed Daehwi.

"―and I kindly reject that statement." Replied Daehwi politely. His voice was steady but his face was screaming for help.
But although Daehwi didn't want to, he was probably going to. Because Woojin is Woojin.

Both of them stood behind the plate base in a two-person line with Woojin in front. With the ball placed comfortably on the tee, Woojin prepared for his swing. Putting as much force into it as possible, Woojin swung the baseball bat forward hitting the ball head-on. It felt like centuries waiting for the ball to land over the trees. As expected, Woojin had hit it extremely well.

Daehwi tensed up. Makes sense for him as the fake youngest. Because of this, Jihoon spoke up "Don't worry Daehwi, I'll try too. In fact, all of you can just watch." Jihoon took his step up to the plate and took a swing. You didn't expect for him to hit it that far, but he did pretty good. Daehwi saw how easily Jihoon had swung the bat, so some of his tension was released.

Now for Daehwi's turn, not taking anything seriously, grabbed another ball and set it loosely on the tee getting ready for his swing. With a nonchalant attitude, Daehwi slung the baseball bat foreward― catching air and missing the ball comepletely. Daehwi stumbled in circles until he wasn't dizzy anymore. So he really was able to still get dizzy. That liar.

"Okay Y/n, now it's your turn!" wooped Jihoon happily. You got up from your spot and took the baseball bat into your own hands. With a replaced ball in the tee's spot, your swing sent the ball flying over the wall into happily ever after with it never to be found again.

Or: your swing barely got three feet.

This sent both Woojin and Jihoon into hysterical laughter. Not Daehwi. He's too nice to do that. As for the sausage duo― clearly not so much.

Unfortunately the latter was the actual result. You weren't surprised. Mostly because you knew batting wasn't your strong suit. Instead, you snatched another ball from the shopping cart and put on the catcher's glove in your non-dominant hand. With confidence-- you yelled at the the three of them, "Maybe I can't swing, but I can throw."

With your statement, you sent the ball gliding through the air with ease and far beyond any of you saw. The three of them looked upward in the direction of the trees trying to see if at all possible you had thrown the ball past any of them had done before. All of their faces held shocked expressions since they hadn't prepared for you to be serious.

Snapping out of his daze, Jihoon started to applaud for you, with Woojin joining in as well. Taking a prideful bow, you started to smile. "That was amazing Y/n!" Jihoon's eyes still wide. "I never knew you could pitch like that.." You felt flattered at these compliments but the reason you threw the baseball in the first place was to prove your skills to Woojin. Maybe it was a matter of pride, but hey― you proved your talents.

"Told ya." You snickered in front of their faces. It sure felt good to be better than people at things.

"C'mon guys, let's put all this stuff away." Daehwi sighed. The others agreed and started to clean up the area. Woojin helped you while you started to gather the baseballs from the ground and transfer them to the shopping cart.

If this was some random cliché romance story between you and Woojin, both of your hands would have reached for the same ball as your eyes met. You would feel embarassed, maybe even a light tint of red would cover your cheeks. Both of you would apologize at the same time and drop the baseball all together. Eventually one of you would confess your hidden feelings because of "the moment I first saw you..."

But sike.
Y'all didn't come for a Woojin story.

This story is still just about a special encounter with Wanna One during summer.

All of you worked quickly so cleaning the mess of baseballs didn't take long. "Thanks for helping clean up," said Jihoon while walking with you back to the main broken down building. To you it wasn't a big deal― everyone played a little anyways.

"No problem," you replied honestly. You felt tired and ready to leave. It was almost evening anyways. "Hey guys I think I should get going." All of their faces suddenly showed gloomy auras. "Don't worry," you chuckled softly, "I'm gonna come back here tomorrow." This caused the smiles to reappear on their faces.

With a huff, Daehwi responded, "Well bye then, Y/n!" With that, you took your leave-- walking away from them.
