You began your day hurriedly and also quite nervous to the idea of how your newfound friends would react to leaving after summer. It wasn't your fault, but some part of the guilt made you think it was. And it wasn't like you wanted to leave, well, it just wasn't your choice.
When you got to the same hangout spot as you have been doing for the past few weeks, you saw all eleven of your friends waiting for you. "Hey guys-" you started, but Daniel spoke up and asked with serious eyes, "You're leaving Y/n?" Your eyes shot a deadly look towards Guanlin and Jihoon that made them panick in fear.
"Well, that's what I wanted to talk about today.." And you started to explain that you thought summer vacation would be a drag but now that you had met all of them, you didn't want to go. You wanted to stay with them and have more fun. So you promised to make it up to them one day. They just nodded, understanding. "Listen, if you guys weren't here I might've never been able to wake up and realize about how people as wonderful as you guys exist."
And after a heartfelt moment, Woojin broke the silence with a simple, "So now what?"
"Do what we've been doing. We'll make sure you won't forget us if we make the best memories together," said Minhyun. After hearing this idea, the group just nodded in agreement with each other and in response to the proposed idea. But deep down, you knew you couldn't bare to really concentrate on the memories you had made with them.. all the things you had done together. But it didn't stop you from covering it with a smile on your face.
It wasn't fake, but it definitely wasn't real.

"So you're telling me that with all this time I have because of summer, I should hang out at the freaking gym with you guys? Are you kidding me? I mean compared to watching you guys work out, I have better things to do. But at least don't make me miserable for summer vacation."
Guanlin gave his signature gummy laugh, "Sure Y/n, and what do you mean exactly by better things to do?" He, Daniel, and Minhyun exchanged glances and laughed, knowing your excuse for an unfit lifestyle would definitely be a humorous event. You fumed up in a mock anger and proceeded to give all of them a small punch in the shoulders while they giggled.
"Don't worry Y/n, we already assumed you weren't going to be very happy about exercise, so we decided to just show you around the gym." Daniel stated reasonably. Part of you felt like talking about your relief, and another part of you wanted to give him another shoulder punch for assuming the truth about your feelings about the gym and exercise. You chose the latter, which resulted in even more confusion and laughter.
While walking to the gym, the feeling of curiosity was growing steadily as you walked around the building, taking a path you weren't familiar with. This place was beginning to impress you more and more as you found yourself constantly being amazed at how big the building really was. It seemed as if every time you came to hang out, they would build a new room. Well, if it wasn't for the musty draft that seemed to find its way into every room and the whole abandoned feel of the place. Okay, well not newly built, but the building was freaking huge is all.
The gym room wasn't huge, but pink and blue tinted neon signs were hung up across the walls. They read, "I love you without knowing how Being in love with you is my nature" Now, you didn't understand what this really meant, but it's okay because you didn't think anyone else knew either. The room had a single mirror, basic workout equipment, and was based off a simple color scheme.

After a bit of arguing, Daniel got Minhyun and Guanlin to agree to a weightlifting competition. "Wait, just making sure I understand this correctly, you brought me here to watch you guys lift weights?" You deadpanned.
"Yes ma'am, and we have a feeling you're going to enjoy it." Minhyun winked, leaving your cheeks tinted pink. Frick.
"Okay so the way we'll do this is for each weight level, you have to be able to do it at least 2 times to count. No getting lucky." said Daniel. Minhyun and Guanlin nodded their heads in agreement. "Y/n, who do you think should start first?"
"I uhh, why not Guanlin?" you suggested. Guanlin stood up with his chest puffed out, trying to exude confidence. Daniel started placing the weights onto both sides for him as Guanlin tried his best not to get nervous. Once Daniel finished putting the weights on, Guanlin laid down on the bench with his chest directly below the bar and lifted the weight easily, surprised at how light the starting weight was. Next to go was Minhyun, and then Daniel.
As the weight began to increase by each round, each of them were beginning to look tired. Finally, once the weight was too much of a burden to push through, Minhyun set the weight back on the bar, without completing both parts of the lift. "Man, I guess I shouldn't have had all the chips after lunch." They were competitive people, but either didn't want to argue in front of you, or actually had good sportsmanship qualities.
Guanlin was the next to stop lifting. He looked worn out and sweaty but still eager to find out how much longer Daniel could go. It was weird seeing how fun and playful Daniel could be, and then find a much more calm and focused person when he was doing something he was passionate about.
But of course, like every other occasion, you were caught staring. Even though you were more caught off guard by Daniel's double-sidedness, he still took the opportunity to tease you.
"Is Y/n that impressed by me? Did you happen to lose your heart? Because I think I have it now." Funny how Minhyun and Guanlin were equally annoyed with him as much as you were.
"Do you also happen to have my brain? Because you are making me lose my mind," you stated with a hint of aggression.
"I'll take that as a compliment Y/n." Daniel grinned a flattering smile.
Guanlin pouted, still upset. Taking note of this you walked closer to him and standing on your tippy toes, gave him a pat on the head. Daniel felt jealous but not wanting it to show, he promptly ignored the both of you. However, Minhyun also wanted a pat on the head so he stood right next to Guanlin, to wait his turn.
"Sure you don't want one Daniel?" you asked, feeling slightly bad.
"Tch. We need it more than he does Y/n," Minhyun said. You started laughing and all of them just watched, admiring your smile.
