"Dad, we have been on this boat for 2 days and I can't take it anymore. Where are we even going?!" Nick exclaimed.
"Have some patience, my son. We will be there soon!" My dad said with the biggest and brightest smile on his face.
We all groaned.
"Wait, wait, stop the boat dad! Stop!" I said as I heard the boat stop running. "What is that?" I pointed. Everyone gathered around me and stared.
"Looks like a sign to me," Nick said, stretching his arm out to grab the floating sign.
The sign read: DANGER AHEAD. DO NOT CONTINUE OR ELSE...
My dad laughed so hard his face was as red as a tomato. His laughing face disappeared when we looked at him like he was crazy.
"What is it that is so funny, exactly?" Ceanna questioned.
"Well," my dad giggled again, "It's obviously just a teenagers prank!"
We did not laugh.
"Or else," my dad mocked sarcastically while waving his hands.
We stayed still.
"Yeah let's go home, hm?" Nick said.
"Sounds good to me," I agreed.
"Come on now, do you actually believe that?" My dad said again, trying to convince us.
We nodded.
He laughed again.
My dad started up the boat again with the same smile on his face.
It was about 9:00 at night and the sun was almost fully down.
While Josh and I were sitting on the edge of the boat, on the corner of my eye I saw Ceanna cover her mouth and walk to the edge of the boat.
"One second," I said to Josh, letting go of his hand.
I walked up to Ceanna just as she let out a disgusting howl and threw up a large amount in the water. And again. And again. I took a hair tie from one of my bags and tied her hair back carefully.
"Did you eat something bad or is it just being on a boat?" I said softly to Ceanna.
"No, I didn't eat anything it's the bo-," She was cut off by another howl.
Ceanna wiped her mouth and rinsed her hands.
"I think," she took a deep breath and let it out, "I think I'm good now."
I smiled and handed her a drink of ginger ale.
"I will throw up if I drink that, Crys!"
"No, it helps settle your stomach. You will feel better soon. Just lie down for a little bit." I said to my sister.
Ceanna took the drink. I grabbed a blanket from a small closet and wrapped it around her along with a pillow.
"Feel better, okay?" I smiled.
She nodded her head.
I walked over to my dad, "Can Josh and I put the boat cover up? I'm pretty tired."
"Go ahead, Crystal, sleep well."
I walked over to Josh and he stood up and helped me cover up the entire boat.
I changed into something more comfortable, as well as Josh.
"You okay?" Josh asked me with plenty curiosity in his voice.
"Yeah," I smiled.
Josh leaned in for a kiss slowly as if asking if I was okay with it. I accepted. I felt his plump lips touch mine ever so carefully. I pulled back and smiled, but he leaned in closer.
"Ew, dad, tell them to get a room!" Nick said covering his eyes.
"Alright, Crystal, that's enough!" My dad said to me while smiling at Nick.
I pulled back, my arms still around Josh's neck.
I smiled at my dad and made a mocking face at Nick while sticking my tongue out at him. He smiled.
Josh wrapped a soft and warm blanket around me, kissed me on the forehead and whispered, "Good night."
I smiled. "Night, Josh."
