DJ P.O.V
I walked out of the hospital completely shocked... I didn't know how to describe words. Honestly... I was just happy. Happy that it wasn't Quanae, but surprised of who it was. It was Alyssa, Quanae's old co worker. I remember her face cause she swore up and down me and Nae' was meant for each other. The reason the police thought her name was Quanae was from a paper receipt she had for Quanae.
I guess Quanae planned on moving out the state. They didn't let me see the ticket but I kinda got an idea where she was going. I took out my phone to call Quanae. The phone rung three times and then it went to voice mail. I shook my head and went to my car. As soon as I started it up, my phone started ringin.
Phone Conversation:
Me: Yoo?
Quanae: You called?
Me: Mane, where you at? How you just gonna disappear without talking to me? I thought we
was better than that Qua.
Quanae: DJ YOU AIRED OUT YO FUCKIN FEELINGS TO A BITCH I DON'T FUCK WITH! DID YOU FORGET HOW HER COUSIN HAD IT OUT FOR ME? WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU CALLIN ME FOR?
Me: Calm down... Can we talk? Where you at?
Quanae: I don't think that's good for us right now. I just need you to pack my stuff and i'll have Alyssa come get them later.
Me: That's one of the things I need to talk to you about.
Quanae: What?
Me: Alyssa. Can you please meet me somewhere? I'll come pick you up.
Quanae: Just park down the street from Tish house, i'll meet you.
Me: iight.
Phone Conversation Over.
I headed directly towards Tish house, following the directions and parking at the end of the street. I shot Quanae a text and two minutes later I seen her walking up to the car through my rear view mirror.
I unlocked the doors and she got in. "So where you wanna go to have this little discussion?" I asked pulling off to no where in particular.
"Dj it really doesn't matter. I honestly just want to get this over with. Alyssa didn't come back to her house last night, and I don't think i'm comfortable with being in someone's house all alone. Definitely through the night. " She shook her head then looked out the window.
I just sighed and pulled up at the park that was near Tish's house. We hopped out and walked to a bench.
"I thought you were dead." I blurted out, getting straight to the point.
"What? Why? What the hell!" She semi yelled jumping up from the bench.
"Qua, chill." I went on and told her about what happened earlier, leaving out the point that it
was Alyssa.
"Will... Who was it? Why the hell would they think it's me?" She asked looking at me and waiting for an answer.
"Look Qua. It was Alyssa. She had some type of plane receipt for you and that was the only source of identification they had for her." I shrugged. The expression she had was just shock. She stood there with her mouth open. "Qua. I know it's a lot to deal with, but we gotta get you down to the police station. It's better to explain your story before they come looking for you." I told her. Either way you look at it, she had tides to this murder.
"Wait. You think I did it?" She looked at me with slight fear.
"Of course I don't, but your name was on the ticket and you were the last person to see her. Well as we know." I sen tears start to slide down her face and I immediately jumped up to embrace her. "Baby, you gotta be strong. Let's get you down to this station so you can get this over with." She nodded and we headed to the car.
