"Alright, big day," I said to myself, "Big day, big day, big day," I shook my head to get out any jitters then put my hair up in a childish side pony with a scrunchie.
I was going to perform with the cirque, I had my act all figured out and Mr. Tall approved of it. I walked out of my dressing room and went to the stage before anyone was there then flew up to sit on a crossbeam, slipping on my coat. I had to wait a while so I took out my sketchbook and started doodling on the back cover, I saw people file in then the show soon began with Wolfman, he did his usual act then the show moved on, I smiled as usual as Evra's act then softly giggled as Bippo slithered up a support beam to visit me. I stayed hidden from the audience until I heard my cue.
"Now for the beautiful, mystifying nature lover who will make your hearts soar as she does," Mr. Tall said and I dropped my book down onto the stage, a spotlight revealing me.
"Oh dear, I should really stay closer to the ground, I always drop things," I said then shed my coat, stepped off the beam with Bippo around my neck and arm, I heard a scream then I spread my wings and beat them furiously to catch myself at the last moment. I swooped down, scooped up my book with my pencil in my pony then fluttered back down to the stage.
"Diana Fae!" Mr. Tall announced and the audience cheered as I did my planned little dance.

I ended by spinning back up to the rafters then diving down and through the curtain which was held open for me briefly. I laughed and did a backflip, I was so energized, feeding off the applause from my performance. Bippo had been given back to Evra earlier in the middle of my dance and now I saw her on his shoulders so I flew over, getting a hug from Corma on my way over.
"You did great out there, sweetheart," she said with a smile, "Not bad for your first time performing."
"Thank you, that means a lot, I was so nervous," I said and hugged her again before going over to Evra and giggling, "So what did you think?" I asked.

He turned to look at me, "Ah, I didn't see most of it but what I saw was pretty good," he said.

I spun excitedly then hugged him before going to my dressing room of the run down theater. I draped my coat over the back of a chair and folded my wings up, my feet were bare and the wood floor was cold but I didn't mind. I heard a knock so I went and opened the door, it wasn't someone I recognized.
"Can I help you, little girl?" I asked, crouching down, no one this young was supposed to be at the show.

"Um, a-are you really a fairy?" she asked shyly, she was so cute.

I smiled and spread my wings, fluttering them, "You tell me," I winked.
The girl got a look of awe on her face then bounced a little, "Your wings are so pretty!"
I giggled and pet her hair, "Thank you, now what are you doing here?"
