Tears blurred her vision and her throat tightened so much she couldn't even speak. Hands shook in front of her as she stared down, hoping the blurry sight before her was her imagination.

Blood stained her trademark green shirt and the lush grass beneath her, spilling from the hole in her chest like an over filled sink. Her legs splayed out from how she'd fallen, one arm lay by her side and the other near her head. Eyes stared blankly at the bright and perfect blue sky, clouded green lackluster caused pain anew to blossom in her own chest. Her mouth was open, the beginning of her name on the other's lips with blood staining her teeth and spilling down the side of her cheek.

"Wake up." She whispered, hoping against what she knew to be true that Lisa would sit up and laugh. Tell her it was some elaborate joke someone put her up to, that she'd heal instead, something.

The sound of people fighting and screaming was almost muted ambiance. So much so that, when a hand grabbed her shoulder, she jumped.

"Lillian, ya gotta get her out of here!" Gohan shouted. Normally, she would have snapped at him, but she could swallow and nod blankly. He turned and raced off to help Ashley and Goten fend off a pack of Celestial dogs, leaving the demon to try getting to her feet.

Unsteady as she was, the dark clad girl got up and somehow managed to get Lisa into her arms. The feeling of blood dripping down her arms, usually an experience she enjoyed, made her own run cold and brought a burning sensation to the back of her throat.

All around her, people Lisa had come to care for and Lillian said she only tolerated were fighting with everything they had to push the monsters back into the void. Blood and glittering dust mixed, battle cries and animalistic roars blended into a cacophony of noise that only spurred her on towards the house.

Shoving the door closed with her shoulder, Lillian stumbled into the living room. The few injured beyond fighting and those who could not fight stayed huddled in the building, trying to hold out. A distraught Chi-Chi was the first to the deity's side, ushering towards the stairs.

"Come on, I'll take care of her." Lillian could only nod numbly and follow the woman to one of the many bedrooms Lisa had filled the smaller-on-the-outside house with. "She'll... she'll be fine." Chi-Chi's voice was as strained as she was sure her own would be at the moment.

Lillian was hesitant to put Lisa on the bed, but did so at the look the other woman gave her. The pity in her eyes only ignored for the stern frown and motion to the bed.

"Please, go help them." Chi-Chi pleaded the demon quietly as she sat beside the bed. "They won't be able to hold out forever. Please... For her."

Lillian looked up, watching tears fall from the woman's eyes. Right, Lisa was another child to this woman. This woman who was one of those responsible for Lisa being the way she was from long before Lillian had first become her own self.

The dark haired girl nodded and walked from the room slowly, feeling her chest constrict as she heard a sob from behind the closed door. Mourning was rampant in the building as Lillian made her way back outside. People whispered to each other and watched her, as if she would tell them that this would be fine.

She slammed the door shut and looked out over the battlefield that had once been the clean cut green lawn Lisa had proudly hosted parties and sparring tournaments on. Her tears dried as a purple aura kicked up around her. Her teeth ground together as her lips curled back in a snarl, a growl rumbling in her throat.

Suddenly, she was screaming, wind whipping around her and the ground cracking from the pressure. The whole battlefield seemed to pause itself as her power unleashed, the aura growing darker and larger until the house was almost dwarfed by the black-purple light. Then it collapsed into itself, vanishing down into the demon with a whoosh of air.

She rushed onto the field, aiming straight for a bloody-clawed Ursa that roared and swiped at her. She dodged it easily phasing from where it aimed and beneath its' belly. Her hand pointed upwards, fingers pointed out like a blade. Her arm dove into it hide and tore it open as she flew underneath it.

"BASTARDDDD!" She screamed, ripping her arm free, sparkling glitter fluttering around her. A cheer went up and suddenly she was looking at the exhausted fighters being reinvigorated by her show. A battle cry suddenly ripped itself from her throat, screaming. "I WILL NOT BE DEFEATED! NOT NOW, NOT EVER!" People shouted agreement, suddenly charging back into their fights with new energy.

"FOR LISA!" She watched Ashley run past her, golden aura sparking up with a heat that surprised the demon. "FOR LISA!"

Then they were all shouting it and Lillian felt.... something. A blooming feeling in her chest, something... something good?

Pride.

She felt pride.

Pride for the inspiration Lisa was, even after... even now. She wiped away the tears threatening her eyes again and threw one arm into the air. "FOR LISA!"
