I didn't know

I didn't know that you could be the one

I didn't know what I did wrong

You were there and now you're gone

I thought we had something else

Something Different, special

You made my heart flutter

You made me laugh

But I had to let you go

Not because I needed to

But because I had to

Not for you, for me

What we had was not happy or sad

Nor mad or glad

It was nothing

Just the same every single day

My heart is not broken

But open for new people to come in

I didn't know what happens

When two half's of a heart cannot be put together

It's because they were different shapes

You were like a square and I a triangle

I didn't know that two different shapes can't go together

We try again and try again

But we just didn't fit together

I just didn't know what happened
