Astrid roamed around, looking for food. So far she had found many things, such as apples, edible leaves, a pear, but these had all been exposed to the storm in some way. She continued her search, and to god's grace, she finally found a closed can of orange juice, which she greedily guzzled down, ignoring the small sizzle that crackled in her stomach.
Suddenly, she heard a roaring sound above her. Looking up, she found a helicopter flying over. I can't let it get away!! She perilously searched for something shiny that she could hail the helicopter with, and found a shard of glass. She angled the shard so that the blinding afternoon sun was reflecting off of it and shining through that helicopter's windows.
"Don't worry, we see you," The pilot said over a speaker, as she jumped and sloppily danced around, filled to the brim with joy and relief. They helped her into the copter, letting her lie down on the seat and get some rest. As soon as they took off into the air she was soundly asleep.
