Looking outside my window, I watch as the pervious snows of last week melts slowly into a puddle of water in the front-yard. The sky had darken indicating it was night time, and It's been 5 hours since mother told me to go to my room and all I could think about were if she successfully convince father not to send me away to America.

Everything about my existence happened here in this city, in this very house, so many memories had been shared, both the good and the bad but that doesn't make me love it any less; that's what made this place so unique, and will forever be my favourite hangout.

I sat down on my bed placing my hands on my flat stomach, It's a little crazy how I'm going to be a mother in 9 months, I used to think I'd have a child after building a career for myself and living in a steady income that will benefit me and my family someday, but I guess life has his way on turning the tables around, not that I'm complaining though, I really don't believe the cliche saying if someone told me I'd be pregnant at 17, I'd say they were joking, I believe life is unpredictable and unforeseen occurrences can take place within any seconds, minutes and hours in a persons life that will completely change them for the better or fucked them up, it's just up to the person on how they are going to deal with the situation or just accept life as it is.

I heard feathers like knocks on my bedroom door, bringing me out of my thoughts. I got up to open it revealing a very angry Cassie my older sister, she was shooting dagger at me with her pale blue eyes, I knew right away she must've heard the latest news on the Pratt family. I step outside letting her in and shutting the door behind me.

"If you were going to do it, you should've used protection," she grumbled collapsing on my bed, I roll my eyes at her blunt attitude, typical Cassie.

"Well thanks Cassie, I'm doing absolutely fine," taking a sit at my desk table sarcasm obvious in my voice.

"Well sorry if I'm not sympathising with you like you expected," she bit her lips "but I'm right, aren't I?" She stuck her tongue out at me, always so childish.

"How did you find out anyways?" I sigh.

"Heard father shouting when I got home from lectures, so I went to check what the commotion was all about and heard everything. He was so red, I thought he'd pass out," she pulled out Sun-bites crisps from her oversized cardigan and immediately starts munching on them.

"Is he sending me away?" I needed answers as soon as possible. The wait is unbearable.

She popped a crisp into her mouth before answering, "Didn't wait long enough for the decision, I was hungry," she chewed.

"When weren't you hungry Cassie." This girl can eat the entire house if given the opportunity.

"Hey, don't go all mummy bear on me. It's not my fault you are pregnant. I should be the one getting angry for making me an irresistible sexy young auntie." she sat up throwing her crisps at me whilst folding her legs, "I'm a growing young adult, mother said I'm allowed to eat," she defended herself like she always does when she's told she loves eating.

"Well isn't that that perfect excuse for becoming obese."

She raised her eyebrows in shock, crisps falling off her mouth in the process, always so dramatic, this girl "Are you trying to say I'm fat?" She inspected herself looking back at me, I can't believe she's taking me seriously.

I couldn't help but laugh at her stupidness, "Just a thought Cassie," I rested my head on my desk closing my eyes.

"You better be, I'm obviously a super model," she gushed.
