It's been 2 weeks I had moved out of Ares house, and honestly I feel extremely lonely. It took me quite a while for me to get back to living on my own, and it was a bit of a struggle at first but however, my work at the restaurant do kept me accompanied.
For the past weeks, I had been trying to get hold of my parents but every time the phone rang, no one seems to pick it up. I'd been stressing me out as I have a feeling they'd be doing it on purpose. Maybe they are trying to forget about me totally.
I took in a deep breathe as I put on my winter coat. The weather here has been so cold lately, you'd freeze to death if you ain't warm enough.
I checked myself once more in the mirror, adjusting my scarves. My eyes trance down to my pumps which is obviously starting to announce itself. I smiled to myself rubbing my hands over it. My health has improved somehow what when I went to my last checkup, and I can remember the lovely smile Doctor Asahi Hashimoto had on her face when she told me my sugar level is perfectly who, and my blood level is okay, and just a little bit of work will make it just fine. She also said the baby is growing absolutely fine, and I'd been looking better than the last time.
I had never been happy after that, all I did when I got home was spend time researching the best food to eat while pregnant on the Internet, and it was amazing what you can cook to nourish you baby growth.
I snap out of my trance when I heard knock at the door. I walk as fast as I can to see who is at the door and it review an elderly man smiling.
"Hi, I believe you ordered for a cab"
"Yes, yes I did," I check my bag hurriedly searching for my keys. When I found them, I locked the doors quickly and followed the man to where his cab was packed.
I got in not saying a word. He quickly type in my destination on the map, and shortly we were on our way out of my building.
I looked out the window as many houses flew by, each ones cover in heavy snows making the whole place so beautiful with its nature designs. I never really loved snows until now, and I don't particularly know why I do now, it is so unlike me. But there is something amazing about the way winter and Christmas goes along together.
It's currently the end of November, and Christmas being around the corner the whole town is all over the moon. Everyone was busy with one thing or the other, either by decorating their front doors or by getting presents at small mall right outside of town. You can say the whole town was hella hectic by the jolly of Christmas.
I was pulled out of my thoughts when I heard the radio, which I now notice the driver had turned on. The man boardcasting the news was saying how the couple of weeks ahead, we should be expecting a colder Bluefall.
I sight, like it's not already cold already but much more cold to be added to it. This town should be added to the list of 101 ways to die, because literally we can die from within an hour of not being dressed warm enough.
I pulled my phone out of my coat to check the time, it's 4:15 and my shift was supposed to be 15 minutes ago. To make it worst, today was a special day at the restaurant. Few weeks ago, a couple booked the whole place for their wedding reception and we have all be told over the weeks to be early as sharp as a cock.
And here I was, 15 minutes late. I sight once more knowing what I'm in for as soon as I open those doors. I roam my eyes around looking at where we were, and I couldn't be happier that we are closer to the restaurant than I thought.
I watched as the driver pulled over at the front of the restaurant, I immediately pulled my purse out and handed him the cash before heading out of the car.
