(y/n).

That was the first thing Natsu thought when he rushed down the stairs.

(y/n) could be with Sabertooth.

"Jesus Christ man!" someone yells as he goes crashing into the bodies in the hallway.

Natsu pays no mind- just like Gray- as he follows his friend to where Sabertooth was supposed to be.

The Fullbuster leads him down the stairs that were covered in people, through the alcohol-infested kitchen, to the living room which had steadily, over time, become a stage of wannabe dancers.

And there they were.

Shit-faced, stoned, Sabertooth members, half-passed out.

" 'Ey, you!" one yells, scrambling off the armchair which leads to him tripping over his own feet. "where's the one that organized this dump? Where's the fuckin' chicks? I didn't come 'ere to play games, ya fairies!"

He waves his bottle over his head like a baseball bat.

And, as if karma was in the same room, bulging, sober, so-terrifying-babies-cry-at-the-sight-of-him, Laxus Dreyar stepped out of the crowd to face him.

Everything went deathly quiet.

The only sound was the steady drip of the alcohol leaking out of the Saber's upside down bottle, not realizing he was wasting his own drink. His eyes were on Laxus- impeccably wide, complimenting his paper white face. Actually, he and his companion suddenly look like twins.

"Get out," the blonde growls, jerking his head towards the door.

"Y-yes, sir!" they squeak simultaneously, dropping their drinks and fleeing out the door as if the devil was chasing them.

And the party started again.

Everyone was used to this. Fairy's protect other fairies, and you especially don't challenge them when the Bachelorhood is in the house.

Natsu breaths a heavy sigh in relief, leaning against the wall before sinking down the ground.

Because, he knew, that if it was Sabertooth, as in Sabertooth, then they wouldn't leave unscathed.

"At least we didn't need to get Gajeel out of his hole, flamebrain," Gray says beside him, having noticed his panic. "and what is up with you? I expected you to dive headfirst into that fight!"

"I'll do so next time, icicle," he growls. "I'll take you down with me as well."

"Ha, you wish!" he snorts. "so, did you tell her?"

Natsu thinks back to the previous day, and the nerve-wracking encounter.

"Oh... I fucked it all up..." the pink-haired boy groans, slouching back in his seat. "Did I really just call her 'pretty lady'? Did I just really... ah fuck, I fucked it all up..."

Natsu thinks back to her pretty (e/c) eyes, lined with a sliver of light, shimmery makeup. A confident air around her, filled with wit and a brazen flair, all drawn from her full lips.

"I'm never, ever going to have the confidence to talk to her again..."

"I knew you couldn't keep it up," Gray smirks. "It's no surprise."

"Hey!" his friend growls. "If you was there seconds ago, you'd know she didn't give a flying fuck."

"It's were, you idiot. If you were there."

"Ah, shuddup, you attention-hogger."

"Pyro!"

"Popsicle!"

Beside me, Lucy shudders.

"Sabertooth?" I question.

"The other side of town," the blonde explains, sighing. "they're like Fairy Tail- a group, a guild. But they hate us and tend to start fights, which lead to what you just saw. Us becoming enemies and claiming territories, creating borders between us."

I whistle lowly. Shit just got real. "Damn."

"You're lucky those are only the junkies," she shivers. "you haven't met the true Sabertooth members yet."

"Do you know any?"

Lucy suddenly freezes, and I can tell she regretted telling me more about this group.

Does she have a history with them?

"That's alright, no need to tell me if you feel uncomfortable," I reassure. "so why do they hate you guys?"

"It's... complicated, and definitely a little stupid," the blonde replies. A R&B song comes on, and my limbs start to automatically sway to the beat. "It's more like... Fairy Tail has the reputation of being the strongest guild around, out of several. Sabertooth has risen through the ranks and are head to head as strongest, you see..."

"A fight for a title," I mumble, zeroing on the dancing bodies. My voice is so quiet Lucy doesn't hear me.

"Sabertooth is more passionate about the fighting and having the guilds as 'underlings', per se. It will give them power over other regions, while Fairy Tail likes to keep it all even."

"Sabertooth are the bad guys, and Fairy Tail the good guys. Got it," I nod, grinning.

Lucy laughs. "That is a summary right here, folks. Now- wait! Oh no... is Freed taking shots? Oh, yep he is. There goes another one... Come on, (y/n), we gotta stop another idiot."

I laugh.

something has been bothering me.

as an author that has only ever written x reader stories, and put a whole shit ton of effort into them, please understand this.

authors like me, we can not create the exact you. for example, if we you would do something different the (y/n) is doing, dont comment and say that its unrealistic. please just go with it/ignore it.

if it really bothers you, and you dont like the way the story is going, just leave the tab and stop reading.

its hard enough to try and not base this on my personality, and think about what others may do with every action and dialogue that (y/n) does.

please respect that.

im in no way talking for other authors, but this is something ive noticed. im never usually this serious. i just keep seeing more comments like this on stories of such talented writers.
