"Laaaaaaast but not least, Erza and Bickslow."
Everyone erupted in some sort of protest- Levy and Gajeel blaring at each other, Gray running away from a sing-songing Juvia who had her grabby fingers outstretched, Freed refusing to partner up with an 'uneducated slime ball', and the like. However, Natsu and I just maintained eye contact as the noise level increased.
Oh boy.
"Now, I will warn you all," Mira started again, everyone quieting down. "this is not going to be easy. There's going to be limited amounts of certain things, challenges, and riddles. Not to mention, if we see anyone cheating-"
"I'll know," Laxus threatened, the only thing he'd said all day.
Everyone gulped.
"I'll pass out the lists and bags now."
I look at the list.
- Coconut: x1
- Fairy Tail Tavern Uniform: x1
- Plastic Bottles: x3
- Pink Coffee Bean: x1
- White Coffee Bean: x1
- Something Soft: x1
- Flip Flops: x1
- Fin: x1
"A pink and white coffee bean?" I mutter. "a fin? What?"
"Lemme see," he mutters. He peeks over my shoulder. "wow, when she said it was challenging she really meant it."
I freeze when I feel his breath on my neck.
"Alright guys! Have you looked over your lists and requirements? Yeah? Alright! Time starts in: 3, 2, 1, GO!"
We were the only group that didn't run off like a maniac. The groups went in all directions- curse words already thrown through the air, as well as middle fingers and 'accidental' tripping which lead to even worse scenarios.
This competitive over floats?
"Wow, Fairy Tail is really competitive," I comment, trying to break the silence.
"Oh yeah," he agrees. "it's gonna be a real competition. I'm surprised no one's out cold yet."
I laugh, surprising myself. I didn't know I could get along with Natsu so fast after yesterday. I guess I should just ignore what happened yesterday? Does he just wanna be friends?
"Okay, so, the easiest one- flip flops?"
"I gotchu," I reply, peeling the baby yellow rubber from my heels. I toss them in the cloth bag, and sling it over my shoulder.
