So, I'm back! I haven't had a lot of people try to figure out the potion yet, so it's gonna wait for another update! *dodges cyber tomatoes* Enjoy the story! *hides behind tree*

When Harry awoke the next morning, he felt more refreshed than he ever had, especially after a late night. "Good morning." Harry jumped at the parseltongue before remembering that he had a new orphis friend. 

"Good morning, Akilah," he responded. The orphis bumped her nose against his jaw. "How did you sleep?" Harry smiled. "Better than I ever have before." Akilah smiled. "Orphi have that effect on people. After all, potions masters are often awake late into the night working on a potion." Harry nodded. "Makes sense." 

He glanced at the clock next to his bed. "Bloody hell! Ron and Hermione are going to be wondering where I am!" Harry jumped out of bed, with Akilah barely holding onto his shoulder. "Careful, please."  "Sorry, Akilah." 

Harry reached up and allowed Akilah to slither into his hands. He placed the orphis on his dresser, where she grew slightly,and curled up to watch Harry frantically look for clothes suitable to wear to classes. Her wings fluttered slightly to draw Harry's attention. "There are some hanging on the edge of your trunk,"  she said. "Thanks!" a breathless Harry said. He grabbed the clothes and dashed into the bathroom. 

Minutes later, he exited, fully dressed, and drying his face and hair with a towel. His tie was untied, causing Akilah to laugh. "Do you know how to tie a tie?"  She asked. "Yes, I do." Harry said defensively. "Then prove it."  She said, teasingly. 

Harry reached up and formed a sloppy knot in the tie. "There, see? Tie tied." Akilah shook her head in disappointment. She flew to the bed, and grew again. "This is how you tie a tie." She reached over with the tip of her tail, expertly tied a neat knot, and straightened the tie. "And that was without any hands, also." 

Harry rolled his eyes. "OK, Mrs. Showoff. I guess my tie tying skills do need a bit of work." Akilah nodded, then took her perch on Harry's shoulders after he put his cloak on. "You're going to hang with me for the day?" Harry asked. "Yes. I have taken a liking to you."  Harry nodded. "Fair enough, though we won't be able to talk much around other people." Akilah simply chuckled quietly, and bumped Harry's neck with her wings, making Harry laugh. 

The wizard then grabbed his bag and jogged down the stairs to the common room, grateful that he didn't have a class first thing in the morning. He arrived at the Great Hall with no problems, and sat down next to Hermione, who was reading another thick book on werewolves. "Werewolf Packs and Pecking Orders?" Harry asked. 

"Well, yeah. I can't imagine this debate being more than a few weeks off, and I still don't understand the difference between an Alpha and an Omega." Harry shook his head. "Alphas are extroverts, Omegas are introverts. Does that make more sense?" Hermione stared at Harry slack-jawed. "How do you know so much about werewolves and wolves in general? That makes so much sense now, I don't know how I didn't see it!" 

Harry smiled, glad that he had made a backstory a long time ago. "When I was really young, like, 4 or 5, I was obsessed with wolves. I learned everything I could about them. The reason I know so much about werewolves is because I asked Lupin if werewolves had the same pack structure, pecking order, etc. as wolves, and he said yes." Hermione nodded. "Again, makes sense." 

Suddenly straightening, she exclaimed, "Harry! You learned how to tie a tie!" Harry smiled awkwardly and didn't say anything. "Yes, he did."  Akilah whispered in his ear. Harry struggled not to roll his eyes at the orphis. "I'm proud of you." Hermione said. "Me, too."  Akilah whispered. "Stop it with your sarcastic self,"  Harry whispered back in parseltongue. "Harry, what did you say? You slipped into parseltongue."
