Harry woke to a wide-eyed ginger sitting on his stomach.

"Ack! Get off, Ron!" Harry exclaimed, barely able to breathe.

"Sorry," Ron said, getting off and sitting next to the raven-haired wizard instead. "I just really needed to wake you up. First, Christmas break starts today! Second, I just realized that the next full moon is Christmas Eve, which is like, less than a week away..." he trailed off.

Harry nodded. "Yeah, break started today, which means I could have slept longer," he replied. "But either way, I'm up now, I guess. And I have a plan for Christmas Eve, along with some Wolfsbane, so we're all good on that."

Ron sighed in relief. "If you don't mind me asking, how did you get the Wolfsbane? You would've had to tell Snape about it in order to get some, wouldn't you?" he asked.

Harry chuckled. "You'll never believe it, but I actually managed to brew it myself," he said.

Ron looked at him with wide eyes. "Who are you and what have you done with my Harry?" he inquired.

Harry grinned. "Potions is easier when there's not a giant, ill-tempered bat breathing down your neck," he replied, causing Ron to chuckle as well.

"Touche," he said. "So, Snape doesn't know, right?" Ron asked, just to make sure.

Harry sighed and shook his head. "He knows," he said. Ron looked taken aback. "How? Why?" he asked, making an effort to understand.

"I was with Remus one night, the night I did my essay on orphi, remember?" he started. Ron nodded. "Well anyways, I was just getting started when Snape barged into the room and started chewing Remus out because I evidently didn't hide my tracks well enough, and Snape found them. He felt like Remus wasn't protecting the school from other werewolves well enough. My wolf took over and chewed Snape out for threatening my mate," he explained.

Ron's eyes were big. "I would have paid Galleons to see that," he commented. Harry smiled. "Looking back on it, his face was pretty funny," he replied. "So, Snape knows, Remus obviously knows, 'Mione and I know...is there anyone else who knows?" Ron asked. "Well, unless you count Akilah and Mekhi, no," Harry said, watching the young male orphis lazily lift his head from teh sheets in response to his name being said.

"Go back to sleep, you're fine," Harry told the orphis, who promptly did just that, curling up against Akilah who was half asleep beside him.

Harry looked up just in time to catch Ron shuddering. "I'm sorry," Harry said, remembering how much Parseltongue freaks the ginger out. Bad memories from the Battle. "It's okay," the red-head replied.

"So, you're super excited for break - what do you have planned?" Harry asked. Ron shrugged. "Relaxing. Enjoying the lack of people. Christmas, obviously," he replied. Harry chuckled. "And how are things going with you and Blaise recently? Have you gotten him anything yet?"

Ron smiled brightly. "Things are going really well. We had a fight a few days ago, but that got cleared up really quick. And yeah, I got him something. Turns out, he really enjoys playing guitar, but his guitar is super old and needs new strings. So, I got him a new guitar and a cleaning kit as well," the ginger explained.
