So I know this is like, really short, but it's all that I could get up right now. If you haven't seen my announcement, my computer is currently broken and I am waiting on a new one. All of my writing gets done on my computer, so everything I've been working on has been close to inaccessible for me. So, this chapter is a bit of a filler :( However, I will be trying to write without my computer and maybe I can upload again soon. I know y'all have been waiting a long time for this and I'm sorry :( Either way, please give this lots of love <3

O.o

It had been mildly amusing to watch Severus Snape awkwardly stand against the wall as Remus sobbed his eyes out, obviously at a loss on what to do. It had not, however, been amusing for Harry to watch his mate cry without being able to comfort him beyond gentle licks on his hand.

"I'm-I'm sorry," the younger professor finally managed, sitting up and wiping his tears with his free hand, the other still refusing to release Harry's paw. Harry wished he could assure the man, tell him it was okay, but he already knew that his body was not ready to phase back yet, so he whimpered and licked at Remus's hand as much as his aching muscles allowed.

"We-" Remus broke of with a small hiccup, "We didn't expect you to survive," he whispered. Harry whined long and low, thumping his tail softly on the bed and allowing one ear to flop over in a slightly silly gesture. It worked slightly, as Remus chuckled and reached forward to ruffle the fur between Harry's ears.

"You're stronger than anyone gives you credit for, aren't you?" he murmured. Harry yipped in response, trailing off with a pained whine when he tried to lift his head. "Don't-" Remus said, hands fluttering in the air as he tried to keep the wolf still, despite Harry already having ceased movement.

"It would be advisable to alert Madame Pomfrey to this development," Severus said suddenly, obviously looking for a way out. Before Remus could respond, Harry let out a friendly bark. Severus, as Harry had expected, nodded once in response before sweeping out of the room.

"You really scared me," Remus whispered, pressing his forehead to Harry's once the Potions Master was gone. Harry huffed out a long, soft stream of warm air and licked the underside of Remus's chin, apologizing the only way he could in wolf form. 'I didn't mean to,' he was saying, loud and clear in the language of the wolves. He didn't know if Remus would understand the message fully in human form, but he knew the general idea would get across.

"I know," the older werewolf replied softly, startling Harry slightly. Evidently Remus was more receptive to canid cues than Harry gave him credit for.

Harry gave a wolfish grin and licked Remus's cheek once more before the doors to the infirmary burst open again, and Madame Pomfrey flew around the room, casting spells left and right. Harry recognized some of the basic diagnostic spells, but others were unfamiliar. It was alright though, he trusted the mediwitch. The only thing he protested was her trying to make Remus move away. A loud growl and a flash of sharp fangs were more than enough for her to stop, quickly assuring Remus that she could work around him.

"Well, Harry, you're recovering much faster than I expected," she said after casting the last few spells. Harry grinned at her, his tongue lolling out of his mouth. The mediwitch smiled softly and patted the top of his head.

"You know your body better than I do, especially in this form. I don't know when you will be able to phase back, but please don't push yourself to phase sooner than your body is capable, okay?" Harry let out a low whine; he just wanted to be human again so he could hold his mate and comfort him in the way he needed.

"Don't," Madame Pomfrey stated again, this time accompanied with a stern gaze. Harry grumbled and shifted slightly so he could look away from the mediwitch without removing contact from Remus.
